Very rude staff. Called about being potentially 10 minutes late to a reservation on Valentines Day. Front desk worker responded “ugh I don’t know about that… we can’t have people being late especially today.” Once we were at the table the whole experience felt rushed with the staff prioritizing throughput of patrons to maximize profit versus service. Waiters only would take your entire order at once to rush you through. Would not recommend coming here on a special day.

Long time DC resident, first time diner. Solid food and service. Lovely and gracious staff. Food recommendations were on target. Classic Italian. No glitterati the night I was there—but a quiet and enjoyable meal

We visited Café Milano again this Christmas Eve — our second year in a row — and once again had a wonderful experience. The service here is consistently excellent. Every server we’ve had has been attentive, professional, and warm. You can tell the staff really care about making sure guests are taken care of, and that level of attentiveness makes a big difference, especially on a busy holiday night.
The food was good both times we visited. Although the portions are on the smaller side. Still, we enjoyed it.
The only downside for us is the spacing and acoustics of the restaurant. The tables are quite close together, and with how busy it gets, you often have to raise your voice just to hear the person sitting next to you. The space feels a bit tight, and the noise level can take away from the dining atmosphere.
Overall, though, Café Milano continues to be a great holiday tradition for us. The excellent service, quality food, and festive energy keep us coming back.

Café Milano is a classic for me in Georgetown! The quality is truly outstanding; the milanese is excellent and the linguine is among the best I’ve had. The atmosphere and service complement the experience perfectly. Highly recommended.

Very expensive, mediocre food. We said we were celebrating a birthday when making the reservation, the hostess confirmed it when we arrived, but nothing special happened during the meal. Too loud, brusque service, way overpriced. Will not return.

Cafe Milano DC was an exceptional experience. I was there two weeks ago visiting my daughter at Georgetown and we had a wonderful family outing after the basketball game. It was phenomenal experience, our server was David and he is a good ambassador for the restaurant and we felt at home.He recommended wonderful dishes and he knew a lot about the food. After we finished he suggested we check out the piano bar down the street. Thanks for the great experience, we will be back again soon

We really enjoyed our brunch, eggs benedict & fresh squeezed beet and ginger juice that our waiter David recommended. Very attentive and informative service throughout our meal, We look forward to coming back for dinner with our family and friends.

We were treated really well, and the food was exceptional. David, our server, was kind and friendly. The only thing that felt off was that the restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived, and we were seated upstairs in a much smaller area. As others were brought upstairs, one party was notably loud, and the common thread was our attire. Dress appropriately or they will sit you upstairs away from the more dressed up (well-mannered) guests who were in the downstairs area.

Wonderful staff, 5 star service, elegant establishment, as a man the portions are too small for the price unless you're there for the carb load

Amazing experience at Cafe Milano, authentic Italian food, amazing atmosphere and unmatched service. Candido and the staff made us feel welcome since the beginning and helped us prepare a fantastic Wine Dinner for my Perbacco Wine Club. As an italian I was stunned by the quality of the ingredients and by the cuisine. The Linguine allo scoglio could easily be as good as a Posillipo restaurant, the Veal as good as the one in the best restaurant in Tuscany. Incredible experience, it was an honor to organize an event here and all my guests were stunned by the quality of the food. I want to thank the staff and Mr Giuseppe Lonardo for hooking me up with the best Italian restaurant outside of Italy I’ve ever been to.

Had high expectations for our first to Cafe Milano visit given the reputation and found it to be excellent. The service is what really distinguished our experience. The server and the whole team were exceptional. They were attentive, warm, helpful, speedy, and friendly. The food was great in that they really let the flavors speak for themselves without too much seasonings or overcomplicated dishes with too many ingredients. Just really well designed and executed dishes. Loved our cocktails and wine selection too.

Had a lovely brunchy lunch early on a Sunday afternoon. Food was delightful. Lots of attention from our waiter David, who clearly enjoys his job. All of the staff was really accommodating and friendlier than you might expect. It’s a great venue— lots of interesting art. Wine list is an interesting read, We both had our own salads, my partner had a breakfasts egg and potato dish — I had the la scala pizza. Both were tasty. All of the food was tasty and had a beautiful presentation. Definitely a great place for people watching.
