I love this location! The staff are always so happy and nice and the cookies are really tasty. I will say the oatmeal raisin cookies are very small, much smaller than the other varieties so it’s a bit disappointing. Other than that, no complaints.

Edit: they really listen to feedback! Cookie sizes are perfect now, thank you! So yummy 😍

Stopped in for an afternoon sweet treat. Bought a half dozen and a couple homemade ice cream sandwiches. All of it was fresh and delicious. Manager always nice.

Dropped in to the store for some delicious ice cream. “Casey” was the Store Manger and was exceptionally good at helping me pick out a flavor. I was not disappointed with the combination of Coffee and Chocolate flavors.

Rile served us close to 9pm on the Fourth of July and made a great suggestion for the salted Carmel and chocolate chip cookie sandwich! Highly recommend.

My brand new car broke down in the right lane a few doors away from the cookie store. It was really hot out, and the tow would take 1.5 hours to get to us.

The wonderful person in the store was so kind. He let us stay in the cool air conditioned store and gave us paper and a marker so we could write a sign for the car.

The people coming and going while we were there kept raving about the cookies. If you are in the neighborhood stop by and try the cookies. Tell him the lady whose car broke down sent you!!! It will be my way of saying thank you to kind person.

I stopped by Captain Cookie last night, and it was such a treat! The shop is conveniently located right off Connecticut Avenue. I picked up a couple of their confetti and oatmeal raisin cookies—both were absolutely delicious and totally worth the price. They also offer an awesome selection of cookies, ice cream, and milkshakes, so there’s something for everyone. The staff was super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area!

Excellent cookies

The ice cream was ok and the cookies are not impressive. They are fine but nothing special. The scoop and a cookie combo for $6.50 is a good deal these days but I'd rather pay more for something that didn't taste like something you could buy at the grocery store.

So, we randomly stopped here after leaving the zoo and had such a GREAT experience!

First, let’s start with the fact that customer service is excellent here. From the warm greeting, to the thorough explanation behind given recommendations, and then to genuine good bye… this definitely allowed for exceptional introductory to Captain Cookie.

To the cookies and the milkshake. The cookies were fresh, warm, moist, AND scrumptious. I had the double chocolate chip cookie, which generally isn’t my go to, however, the staff’s recommendation/explanation sold me on it. And, it was by far the best double chocolate chip cookie that I have had. Then I had the oatmeal chocolate chip which was simply perfect. I also sampled the cookies and cream milkshake which had the perfect thickness and the perfect amount milk and ice cream.

If ever in the area, I would recommend everyone to try them out. When I’m back in the area, I know that I would for sure be stopping by.

Fun place, friendly staff. While cookies are the main attraction they also have milk shakes and floats. Very clean and they do have a seating area if you want to sit and enjoy your cookies and/or drink.

I've had the Captain Cookie in Cleveland Park do two cookie cakes and both were big hits. The second was a more challenging design - our high-school mascot - and the two gals at the counter seemed genuinely excited about the challenge, and they did a great job. Everyone there has been friendly and helpful.

I'd love to point out how much less fuss and single-use plates and utentsils are required for a cookie cake. Most folks just need a small napkin, and leftovers are easier to transport as well.
