Very nice restaurant. We went with two vegans and they had plenty of menu choices. All was delicious. Scallops by the non-vegans were delicious. Entrees of rack of lamb was a bit small on the portion. The stuffed quail was nicely done. Dessert of a chocolate concoction was very good also, but a bit tiny.

Dinner for 2 before a show at Ford Theatre. We r not vegan, which this caters to but has meat dishes. Food was ok, beets good, scallops under cooked, salmon entree over cooked, chix very good. Deserts small, coconut cheese cake and espresso creme brûlée were lame. Wine list very small/poor and they were out of one of only two Pinot Noirs offered. “Merlot” was actually a 56% cab sav, with 11% Merlot grape. Service was basic but Bill with tip was $250. I won’t be back.

Amazing service. The food was great! We had the rib eye steak, medium, and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Lots of vegan options. Skip the vegan pasta though- it's uneventful but everything else was good

Despite an unpromising start -- down a very long flight of stairs, to a completely empty dining room, where we were seated in lonely splendor at the opposite end from a small, lively bar, with only the bartender to wait on us -- we had a LOVELY meal. The food we ate was excellent! The pre-theater prix fixe included a fine salad, a delicious bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin (among three choices) and a nifty coffee crème brulée. The à la carte appetizer menu included a delicious brie en croute and a fine smoked salmon on a bed of fresh, crisp greens. Half the menu is vegan, so there is something for everyone. The service, while a little sketchy owing to a staff absence, was very friendly. The restaurant will be opening a street-level room in the near future. That will make our planned return trip even easier.

Nothing special to be honest. I guess pictures were taken quite well but I did not find this place particularly delightful as I was expecting. The interior of the restaurant was quite nice though. I suppose that's a selling point.

This is the second time that I have been to Cedar when visiting DC. We come here because of the diversity of the menu and the diet restrictions for some of our group. The cedar menu has a very diverse offering which is fantastic.

A surprising delight for this vegan! I am really impressed by the amount of brunch options for vegans and their lunch and dinner menu have plenty as well. This morning I had the vegan soup of the day (beets, etc) followed by the vegan Benedict which was super flavorful and impressive. For all you meat lovers, the options are abundant. What I’m knocking this place for is service. The waiter kept forgetting what we ordered and things just took so long to arrive. I do Intend to go back to try their dinner menu and hopefully they redeem themselves.
