Char Bar is a must-visit if you're in DC! The food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Do yourself a favor and get the Texas Toast—it’s loaded with slow-cooked BBQ brisket and is incredible; you can thank me after! The matzah ball soup was also a highlight; it was comforting, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a classic deli. Highly recommend!
I'm a frequent customer at Char Bar and when I've taken people who don't keep kosher they are always impressed with the food.

We had such a wonderful experience at Char Bar! My husband, his close friend, and their family joined me for dinner here, and it was truly amazing. The atmosphere was lively and full of energy — yes, it was a bit loud, but that’s only because the restaurant was so busy, which is always a good sign. Despite the crowd, our order came out quickly and everything was absolutely delicious.
