While nothing during our time there was bad, it wasn't stand-out either. Average menu selections, average drink quality. Service was good, but as a self-proclaimed foodie, I wasn't overly impressed.

We were visiting DC and found this place by chance. We were not disappointed. Our server Arthur was exceptional. Great knowledge of the menu and exceptional service! Took his advice and ordered the gumbo. Wow! best gumbo since a trip to New Orleans. Manager on duty stopped by and checked on us as well. Awsome experience!

Visited Chef Geoff's for restaurant week. Our server was excellent. There was a mix up with my drink order and he fixed it immediately. He checked on gluten free options for the starters and provided menu recommendations. The food and cocktails were amazing, especially the flourless chocolate cake for dessert! A sweet treat heaven for those of us who have gluten intolerances!

The food was fine but nothing special. I ordered the black bean burger, which was decent, but the gluten free bun needs work, and the aioli wasn't listed on the menu (I only knew it was vegan from having looked at an older menu online). The food also took a while to come out, but that's fine. However, after the meal I asked if they had decaf coffee, and the waiter said yes, and brought me a whole little pot. I only finished what was in my mug, but seeing as I have been trying to fall asleep for the past 4 hours, I suspect it wasn't decaf. Looking back at the receipt, it just lists “coffee.” I would really like to be asleep right now.

We had two fantastic meals at Chef Geoff's over the course of the week. First, with a lunch that was so great (Blackened Fish Tacos and Fish & Chips) that we came back a few days later for dinner. We enjoyed the Summer Restaurant Week dinner special with delicious appetizers (Crispy Calamari), entrees (Blackened Salmon, and the Spice Crusted Scallops with Risotto) and dessert (amazing Peach and Goat Cheese Croustade). The service was excellent and efficient. A special shout out to our waitress at dinner, Trystany, who made the meal even better with her fantastic and friendly service. If you're in the area, you'll be happy you tried Chef Geoff's!

Great food and even better host! All the food tasted great and our host Chad was very kind!

Scallops with mushroom risotto was excellent - but as you would imagine, a heavy dish. Brussels and fried green tomato's were very good too. Food at any of Geoff's places is always excellent

Was there for brunch on Saturday. Service was slow though less than half of the restaurant looked to be occupied. And the food was good except for my “Ultimate BLT.” Recommendation, don't get the ultimate BLT, had at the most 4 slices of bacon, but I was expecting stacks of bacon based on its name. Should be renamed to mediocre BLT. Over promised massively under delivered. Highly disappointed. Other food items were good but service was lackluster. Can't remember if the waiter stopped by after the food was delivered, and the food took little over 30 mins to arrive after ordering.

It is our tradition to go to Chef Geoff's on our first night in town. Their food is fresh and the menu choices are diverse. I appreciate that there are tofu options too.

This is an excellent place to grab a quick and casual lunch! I had the gumbo which was delicious.

Food and service was excellent. It's a vibrant atmosphere that is noisy so wouldn't recommend for a romantic date night, but great vibe for fun and friends.

My friend had suggested trying this place out, getting to the front door the entrance is a little hidden behind the outdoor tables and getting past the check in and to the table is a bit maze-like narrow, and claustrophobic route to the dining area. We ordered the Scallops and the $40. Steak, the Roasted Pear salad, and Calamari along with a few cocktails. The food arrived and the presentation was amazing, I had to use the butter knife on my steak because they didn't bring me a knife until I had already consumed more than half of the steak, which was tender and delicious. how they delivered the knife was a bit of joke, dude just slid it under my plate and walked away very fast. Shortly after that the waiter returns and is in very high and happy sprits and states they (the Staff) are having a contest to see who can get the most reviews on Yelp and stands over us with a card with a QR code while we're still eating and expects us to stop our meal and interaction to give them a response. I pause and state absolutely we'll do this as soon as we finish our meal, I photograph the QR code and set my phone back down as does my guest. Eventually we finish our meal and are heading out and have to pass through the very tight maze-like Exit area where several of the staff are hanging out (5-7 people) and 4 of them step aside and allow us to pass while the other one just walks right into us without so much as saying "pardon" or "excuse me" making us feel like we're blocking them or something.

Great service, food and beverage - as always! Love the variety and quality of the menu items......although I do wish Chef Geoff would put his awesome shrimp& grits back on the menu for me!

Geoff's was pretty busy, so ambient noise was a little on the high side. Service was good, but slow due to service staff being overworked with too many tables to attend to. Food presentation was great and with food taste good as well, just not over the top. Went with the sweet and spicey cauliflower for the appetizer, salmon and lobster roll for the main course. Cauliflower was more spicey that sweet, but still good, could have been cooked just a minute or so longer. Salmon was good, broccoli was overcooked. Lobster roll was to much filler to lobster.
