Spacious and has outdoor seating. We stopped here for dinner upon arriving in DC. We made a quick reservation prior, seated right away when we got there. Kid friendly, which is helpful since we were traveling with children. Carlos took awesome care of us and was playful in interactions with my kids. The kids menus was good, both of mine got the pizza and had no complaints. Husband enjoyed one of the specials (Rainbow trout). I was feeling a girl dinner and had the house salad and some fries. Full bar. To get the the restroom, you have to exit the restaurant into the hotel lobby and head downstairs. It was easy to find though.

Took a business colleague to CG this week. Outstanding service! Polite and courteous staff. I had the chicken parmigiana, which was delicious. Will be back again soon and I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was good. The lemonade was sour. I found the small print very annoying. It said 5% was being added to the cost of the food on top of the menu prices due to Prop 82 with no explanation and unrelated to tip.. I had to look ut up and it is to ensure higher than tipped minimim wage. Pay is related to tip. It would make so much more sense to me to put all operating expenses into the cost of the item being purchased, which is normal for all other operating expenses. It seems to me like Chef Geoff is nickel and diming me and subjecting me to an editorial statement at the same time.

In the week we’ve been vacationing here in DC, we’ve eaten at Chef Geoff’s three times. The food is consistently delicious. I had the salmon tonight. It was cooked perfectly. Tonight we had exceptional service. Carlos was very personable and attentive. If we didn’t have to go home tomorrow, we’d go back to CG’s a fourth time!

From coming in the door, the hostess was incredibly cold and unhelpful. We were told there were no tables available (totally understandable). When there were no seats at the bar I asked about a waitlist and was told they didn't have a waitlist but the next table wasn't available for an hour and a half. There were a ton of empty tables and we would have appreciated some kindness in seeing if we could make something work.
