Received a pretzel and cheese dip package from a friend as a gift, dry ice was gone and product was thawed but still cold so figured still good. Pretzels were pretty good after baked but the dip was like a can of cheese colored beer with the same consistency after prepared. My friend ordered the same thing for themselves and same issue....called customer service to ask assistance and was read verbatim from directions how to prepare.....I do not suggest ordering from this company!

Received a Four Berry pie as a gift from a relative who wanted to participate in Thanksgiving but was unable to travel. Her order was processed on 11/17. We received on 11/25 (the day AFTER Thanksgiving). The two dry ice packs were empty and dry, and the pie was completely melted and had turned/smelled rotten. It was a frozen item and they shipped it ground. They either delayed the processing because they weren't properly staffed for holiday volume, or they should know better how to ship their items so they will arrive on time and in edible condition. There are many places that ship prepared food safely and reliably; this does not appear to be one of them.

I've liked their crab cakes, and was looking for a special quiche for a pre-wedding brunch. I saw a quiche in the catalog and, assuming it would be high-quality like their crab cakes, I ordered the quiche 2 pack for $39.99. I thought this was a bit pricey but assumed it would be a high-quality Quiche and it was a special occasion. When the box arrived and I opened it, I noticed the quiche was made by La terra Fina company, and placed in a special box labeled 'gourmet'. I had seen this same exact quiche at a local store for the price of $11.99 for a two pack. I chose not to buy the quiche locally because I made an assumption the quiche from Chesapeake crab company would be a higher quality for the special occasion. Nowhere online or in their catalog did they mention that their quiche was made by la terra Fina. No offense intended to la terra Fina, I have never tasted their quiche, but I will now and I'm sure it will be fine. But if I had known Chesapeake Bay was going to send me to la terra Fina quiche, I would not have ordered it and I would've just purchased it locally. I felt like I was misled and that their advertisement for gourmet quiche from their company was false advertising. When I contacted the company about my concern, I asked for a refund or at least a refund for the difference ($28) if I had purchased the quiche locally. Even a $28 gift certificate to Chesapeake crabcakes would have sufficed. But, they refused to do anything to 'make it right' or address my concerns. Obviously they do not believe keeping customers happy so they'll return. . I've spent hundreds of dollars at Chesapeake crabcake Company over time. I will no longer be their customer.

For the second time in two months, I've placed orders with this company. On both occasions, they have been totally unable to tell me when shipping will occur. The first instance took 5 days of phone calls before they realized they screwed up so they shipped priority overnight to solve the problem. This time, I placed an order last Friday to be shipped Monday. It is now Tuesday and they still don't know when the shipment will go out. All I get is "call back tomorrow." No offer to research, no explanation. All speculation. I've called five times in 72 hours and every agent had a different speculation - NOTHING based on facts. The only consistency has been "there is no way to check on your shipment, call back tomorrow." I've tried cancelling the order and they have refused, even though it has not been shipped. I've tried paying for priority overnight and they refuse to do that. I've asked to speak to a Manager and was told they do not take calls. I've asked that they communicate with the warehouse to find out the status and I was told they cannot do that. I've only given a 2 rating because out of three orders over time, only one was delivered without incident. There is nothing wrong with the product, if it ever gets delivered. Warning to all, if you order something pray things go as described because you will NEVER receive any help by calling them to correct the problem!!!!!!!
