We had a fantastic time at Chez Billy Sud, very friendly and efficient staff, nice decoration, charming place. This place is located in the middle of Georgetown, in a historic house, so it is small, and that makes it even more special. We knew the food was going to be amazing once we tried the baguette with butter, crunchy but not burned, soft on the inside but not mushy, perfect level of salt. As always the food is perfectly executed and delicious. What sets this place apart though is the service. Always attentive and welcoming, never rushing. Just one of the best restaurants in DC. Every time I go, I wonder why I waited so long to return!
arrived early & got favorite table and then great service from Fluke (s true professional). He helped—as diplomatically as possible--me pick a much better wine than my first impulse (even brought a sample of both to help me choose—ended up with a fine Gamay from Beaujolais, a little like pinot noir; salad: batteraves (beet) minced & interestingly pickled(?) & accompanied by minced vegetables(?).
