Believe the hype! We checked out this place based on the reviews and it was excellent. It’s upscale Latin food but very reasonably priced and very good. Plus if you’re a fan of spicy food they bring the heat! The servers were very attentive and friendly, all around a great experience and we will be back!

Extremely disappointed. Booked a reservation 30 days in advance for my own birthday. When we arrived, we were notified that a special event was taking place in the restaurant but they could seat us next door at their other restaurant. We were able to order the food from next door and drinks from the drink list but the quality of the margaritas seemed significantly below next door although we paid the same for them. I understand things come up but I was never once contacted asking to change my reservation or even of the change that might occur. The food was close to great but a few things missed the mark. Really wished we could have experienced the chicatana we hoped for. Now I can see online they had this event planned and even scheduled tickets. I want the best for this place as it has incredible reviews but it did severely under deliver.
Would like to also add the service was still lovely. Very friendly staff but felt terrible they were put in this situation.

I highly recommend Chicatana, it was an amazing place to enjoy Mexican food, I tried passion fruit ceviche and tacos al pastor, and a classic margarita. Service, food and music were excellent. I will comeback for sure.
Food is DELICIOUS!! Awesome tacos, crab enchiladas, ceviche, a tuna tostada app I forget the name of, and margaritas. Water glasses were never empty. There was an issue getting our meal out, but the owner took care of us and made sure we had food to eat while we waited. He was very kind and attentive. Even with the mix up, we felt very cared for and enjoyed our meal! Even got to enjoy some of the live music when the band arrived. Thanks all!

I have no notes for Jose and the crew at Chicatana. All of the boxes were checked: service, food, ambiance, hospitality, atmosphere, price, freshness, and the list goes on. Jose has a great menu of specials in addition to their killer everyday menu. We had the squash blossom quesadilla, taco di chapulinas (if you know you know), tacos di al pastor (maybe the best thing on the menu?!), sopes di pulp, and so on. It was all so delicioius. And the team made us feel right at home. I cannot wait to go back!
