Dumpling happy hour from 3-6pm and plenty of additional delicious options. Loved having locally brewed beverage options and the blood orange gose was perfect on a steamy day. I am delighted to have a new go-to option in DuPont. It’s only two blocks from the Q St Metro stop, too.

Flavors were not subtle: very strong, definitely high on salt and sugar. Some of it had a slightly burning feeling in my throat. The fusion is fine but if you're not used to food that rich, it's a bit much on the body. Service was appalling, with the aloof waitress cleaning tables by spraying from a distance and splashing nearby customers. The very rusty staircase leading up to this place needs fixing soon. Bad acoustic, the place gets really noisy with just a few tables. All in all, I'd do take out but I don't enjoy being in there.

So good. We had the cumin lamb stir fry, shrimp lo mein, spicy bulgigi, soy glazed brisket, fried veggie dumplings and napa cabbage kimchi.

There is a veggie and gluetin free menu that makes ordering with allergies so easy! The cumin lamb stir fry, shrimp lo mein and spicy bulgigi DELICIOUS! Well seasoned, scrumptious and filling. Highly recommend. For most, the cumin lamb stir fry will be very spicy. If you like spicy food, that's a must.

Excellent experience, amazing service and food!
In small plates, we ordered stir fried beans, Brussel sprouts and in large plates we ordered smashed salmon and cumin lamb.
I generally do not leave reviews, but CHIKO has our heart.
We’ll be back soon to try other foods..

Chiko is among the most flavorful restaurants in the whole nation. It pays respectful homage to both Korean and Chinese cuisine while tailoring the seasoning for locals. HOWEVER, the value for the food is questionable. I often find a bunch of chicken or bulgogi at the top then the other 70% of the dish being rice, rice cakes, or noodles once you’re done with the protein.

The food was phenomenal. I got the spicy bulgogi with rice cakes, a side of rice, and the blistered green beans, and was stuffed by the end of my meal. Phenomenal flavors, great volume of food, and a super reasonable price (not to mention the great spiked lemonade!). Would highly recommend.

No frills, excellent and delicious food. Great happy hour.

The food is great and the service is kind and accommodating. They really should reconsider their portion of the ribeye in the bulgogi. It’s barely two strips and the dish is 22 dollars.

I ordered from here after seeing a Tik Tok on the food here which looked incredible. I ordered the Wings w spicy soy garlic sauce & the bulgogi with tteokbokki. First I expected the soy garlic sauce to be on the side like how i saw in the Tik Tok video and also in some other reviews. I also called to verify that i would recieve the sauce on the side and also ask about the rice that comes with the tteokbokki because on uber eats and the menu it doesn't state that it will come with rice. I didn't get an answer although I called 3 times so i ordered a side of rice anyway, It came with rice. My chicken was a bit soggy by the time it got to me because the sauce was already on it. The tteokbokki
bulgogi was a little on the bland side but besides that it was okay. Overall I give this place a 6/10. I probably won't order from here again. It was a nice experience though.

Went here with my wife last night and did the chefs tasting menu. The food was phenomenal and just kept coming. Jahleel was our server and did a perfect job presenting each dish. 10/10 recommend.

Ordered the korean noodles. It was a stir fry style. It wasnt bad, but also nothing amazing. The prices seem expensive for what you get and that its a non-service restaurant (order at counter and grab a seat).

We loved everything we ordered and the food came out super fast. The crispy Brussel sprouts were next level, the perfect amount of crispy and incredibly well seasoned.

Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian options, mostly appetizers and sides but all are delicious.

one of the few places in dc where you can get an incredible bang for your buck in terms of portion sizes. they are quite busy in the evenings and also with preparing takeout orders. most items have a lot of fried toppings, so it’s not the healthiest option, but everything is flavorful and texturally complex
