I been going to this place since the 90’s and even though i moved to maryland always came at least a couple of times a year to eat the fry chicken with mambo sauce, last year i called and no one answered, my first thought was oh my god i hope the sweet old lady is okay, then this week they finally answered i ordered the usual and i came in and i saw new faces behind the counter no smiles but i got my food, the mambo sauce had such strong vinegar taste , not the same , my husband said oh looks like this are new owners because this is not it! Very disappointed and very sad that i no longer have a reason to come to my old neighborhood :-(

This spot is perfect for a casual night out with friends. The vibrant atmosphere, especially in the evening, gives you the feeling of being immersed in the heart of Chinatown. We walked around, checked out some shops, and even stopped for a delicious meal. It’s a great place to enjoy good food, shopping, and the cultural charm of the area. Definitely recommend it if you want to explore the sights and sounds of Washington, D.C. in a relaxed setting
i ordered a combination with vegetables, chicken, beef, and shrimp & the veggies where to hard to chew. i also ordered 4 drumsticks and they were not fully cooked from the inside. i want the old people that were working there. i liked this carry out it was my childhood but now its different service and different people. i don’t think i will be coming here anymore.

Food it used to be good now it’s just edible , under new management and new prices way more expensive plus super rude when answering the phone also you need to check your food before you leave because they will mess up your order just like they did with mine. After year of being a loyal customer I’m leaving this place behind shame on them!

Been going since I was a child, new owners changed it for the worst. Sad to see it go in a bad direction.

For anyone that has been long time customer of this establishment, STAY AWAY!
It’s NO LONGER owned/operated by the family we local residents have loved and grown with all these years. The woman upfront claims they are still related but they are not. There’s no way the old family we know would let this happen if truly related.
The beginning of a sad end to such a great establishment.
The food, quality, and customer service is nowhere near it was before. As a life long resident and frequent supporter of this Carryout, it’s disappointing that the Chinatown we know and love is no longer.
Won’t be back unless I see the old family behind the counter. Please come back Family!

Food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My husband and I eat there at least twice a month and it NEVER disappoints! If you’re in the mood for something spicy try their General Tso’s Chicken or Chicken Wings with Mumbo sauce (yes real DC mumbo sauce), both dishes are my all time favorites, or some mouth watering Egg Foo Young, and ohhhhhhh the Lo Mein(doesn’t matter the flavor…they’re all DELICIOUS)!!! The owners are fluent in English, and as Nice as they come! Looking for OUTSTANDING Chinese food then Chinatown is the place to find it!!!!

Usually really good but tonight was the worst. Ordered general tso beef and got home and found it it was tofu (WTF)..took it back and they replaced it..got home and AGAIN, it wasn't General Tso beef...instead they gave us some soggy assed beef that they use in their beef & broccoli....tried calling several times but phone was taken off the hook so no one can get through...probably flooded with complaints. Will go to Mayfair from now on...

We ordered takeout from this place. The General Tso Chicken was nasty and dry. The rice was also extra dry. I won't order here again.
I'm having the hardest time finding really good Chinese food ever since China Hunan on Georgia Ave NW, DC closed its doors during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. Everything I find is either dry, doesn't have enough sauce, overcooked, extra greasy, or something to that effect. I may have to give up the ghost on trying to find any decent let alone great Chinese food. I didn't photograph the atrocious food.
