Functional little Chinese takeout shop. Decently cheap, you get a lot of food. I highly recommend the Sesame Chicken. A few friends got dumplings and were not thrilled... I enjoyed every bite of my food. Service is satisfactory, and after my third visit the lady at the front had memorized my order.

I've been eating at this place for about 25 years. Yes years! Never had a bad experience. I must say i always get tge same thing, chicken and broccoli and shrimp and broccoli. BOMB!! They are the only original places at Wonder Plaza. I will continue to eat there.

I hadn't been here in years but it was too hot for me to look for anything "better" so China Wonder it was. I'm scarred because I happen to think that it is cool that this establishment doesn't have bulletproof glass. I am thinking that the glass really doesn't deter crime. Robberies haven't caused China Wonder to close. McDonald's makes a lot more money across the street and they don't have bulletproof glass. With the impersonal glass removed, I even observed an interaction forged between the woman behind the counter and a mother and daughter known to her. The exchange was warm and not shouted through a money slot. I was there to order something simple. Fries with m(a/u)mbo for the nice price of $1.92. "I like it, I like it."* The fries came quick and they hot hot! Piping. Eating them took me back to many after school evenings, eating Magic Fries. Good times in the 1990s. I am leaving 3 Stars. I wish the fries were packaged in paper clamshell. That would be progressive. Other than that, my lil snack was just aight. *Prince (P.B.U.H.) "Chocolate"

Have a had pretty poor service here. Black people stop allowing individuals to mistreat you in your own communities. Two employees and 2 customers yet they tried to rush me to order, so one could run off and flail around doing nothing instrumental. I asked for a cup of mayonnaise and was told we don't have a cup of mayonnaise, just because she thought she was too good to fix a cup for my order. I thought about it went back to the store and said put it on the fries to see cups sitting on the shelf. I asked for my money back and when you get bad service here do the same. The food isnt even that good.

I drove over to China Wonder with crossed fingers, as things change in DC constantly. I went inside and it was all different than the last time I was there, so I confirmed with a man at the counter just as the cashier turned to greet me.... "it's you!" It was she. The queen of hot mumbo sauce, never tart, alway savory, served on the side of my crunchy Wings to order! We caught up a bit, I ordered my Wings and as it was in the past, it remains. Wings spread out in a container freshly fried container of warm sauce, just for me I swear they are the best of the best for DC style mumbo wings. I didn't order anything else, but all the dishes poured from the kitchen, looking and smelling great. Just like I remembered from the 90's. I was reminded.... nostalgia tastes good.
