I ordered through UberEats and had to cancel the order because you guys took too long. 1hr and 15 mins I waited for my order. That's ridiculous. You need more than 1 cook in the kitchen. That's what my driver told me was going on.
Ordered through DoorDash but I guess they use a third party called Relay for delivery. Communication is poor I called the restaurant 3 times to check on the status of my food as it was 30 min late and still no eta. No one answers the phone, goes straight to VM saying mailbox is full.
Very confused. Website says they have moved to 723 8th St SE; we go to that location and there are two completely different restaurants occupying that space. Their online kitchen still seems to be taking orders, but their in-person location is no where to be found. No information on their website or Instagram page. Called the phone number listed on this Google listing and it went to Valor Brewhub (one of the restaurants at the location). Very confused and frustrated with this whole experience.
I ordered online with a pick up time of 9:38pm.
I walked in at 9:33 and the only person working there was the bartender. I politely interrupted her conversation with other patrons and asked the bartender if my order was ready.
She said she would have to help the people at the bar before me. I waited and after 5 minutes asks again. She told me the same thing and took her sweet old time and talked to other patrons. Then she walked over to wall table near door and looked at the orders. She could have easily done that when I asked earlier. It took only 30 secs. She the. Said it wasn’t there and proceeded to continue conversations and take orders.
Another employee showed up and he looked at my order number and walked in the back and didn’t come out before I left.
I guess the bartender didn’t care because she said it was her last day. Regardless , I left and will not be going back.
Chupacabra Latin Kitchen & Taqueria is a total gem! The tacos are bursting with flavor, and the vibe is super chill and inviting. I loved how fresh everything tasted, especially the salsa-it had just the right kick. It's the kind of spot where you can relax, enjoy amazing food, and leave already planning your next visit.

I had planned on going here for a lunch on a weekend. But, after verification that they were open on weekends via the Internet, (but I didn't call them) so when I actually visited with my 2 friends in tow they were CLOSED! NO SIGNS! That is, no signs stating that they were closed that particular day.
Just notified that they had moved to a new location. Wonderful! Still,to my point of NO SIGNS! Or, moving to new location...or where that might be on that absent sign?
Who knows, maybe they are actually completely closed and out of business(nope, they just moved)? Who cares? I certainly don't because I will NOT try to return.
We did some of the vegan options it was delicious and the atmosphere was nice too we were able to sit outside comfortably.
You order via QR Code but the owner was a table over and is very personable so I kept service high. Tacos were delicious and came out quickly. Would return.

After we paid, taff added 40% and 100% tips to two separate bills that already had 20% service charge. All attempts to contact went to full vm mailboxes, super sketch. Margaritas were kool-aid quality. Has the vibe of closing down next week.

Food was mid but definitely not worth getting eaten alive by mosquitos! Not sure how they’re going to survive the DC food market when customers can’t eat without fighting off bugs. They did offer repellent ??♀️ but not till we asked & it didn’t help much. Spent $61 for two people to eat thanks to the service fees.

If you want to spend $20 for four flavorless tacos, this is the spot
Excellent tacos. Very nice service. You are allowed to smoke in the guest garden.
The food was fine. For eating in, it’s all outdoor patio seating. I hate QR menus, but that’s all they got. Food and drinks arrived quickly after ordering.

Gary is the best. Love going to this place for a casual night or when I want to pick up a quick dinner. The borrego (lamb), birria, and fish tacos are always sooooo good.
