Love it. A block away from the house and the best wings and BBQ. Great bar! Hubby visits a lot. Foods good and the service is on point.

Such a delightful restaurant. Been here twice and have not had a bad bite. Everything is delicious. Brisket, pulled chicken and the wings were amazing.

Incredible serving up delicious meals. The cocktails are absolutely on point as well. If you’re looking for a space to relax with good-hearted people -/ and hearty food — Cinder is your spot.

I felt that the food was slightly expensive for what it is (and for the neighborhood) and that it was dry—I had ribs.

Another issue is that the inside the restaurant smelled like sewage; we sat outside and it was really nice outside. The service was great and attentive.

Went to visit this place on Saturday night. It also happened to be the night of porch fest. We found a seat at the bar (2 people). It took about 10 minutes for a bartender to give us menus & take our order - great, this was a reasonable time. Once we got our drinks we placed our food order (1 appetizer, 2 entrees). 30 minutes go by, we see other patrons at the bar question where their food is, we overhear that the ordering system had a mishap. 45 min go by & we still have not been checked on or told directly that there was any issue with our order (or their systems). After over an hour we get our two entrees - delivered by a runner. 5 min later our bartender comes over & asked if anything was missing & I mentioned we never received our appetizer. 15 minutes later (and basically done our meals) we wave the server down to let him know to just disregard the appetizer. 10 minutes later he shows up with the appetizer in a to go container and asks if we want to pay for it to go…. very odd. we decline & he disappears with the boxed up appetizer.

weird experience & disappointed by the customer service - this could have been handled more appropriately if they had tried a tiny bit of communication & checked in on their customers.

One of the best BBQ dry rubs for wings and ribs. Pork rinds are delicious and FRESH! Must go if you’re in DC :-) foodies.

Not the optimal experience. Was there on a Friday at 6 pm, and they were out of spareribs and brisket. So, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. I found it dry and tasteless.

Maybe it was a bad night. I will try again sometime and hope for better results. My friends say it's a good spot.

Hands down the best restaurant in the neighborhood. Fantastic brisket with good bark, best smoked pork in the region. Also, it's the best whiskey bar within 100 miles. Usually a good crowd with lots of regulars from the neighborhood. Staff obviously has low turnover and they're really friendly (unless they're really busy, in which case they are getting down to business). Owners are almost always on site and engaging with patrons (or de-escalate the occasional poor patron behavior). They have BRISKET dog treats! If we ever lose them, I'll grieve. I love this place.

The staff and food at Cinder never miss. Such a great bourbon selection and the weekly specials are always great! Love this location and the people. My only wish is they would carry Proper 12.
