Best of Washington DC. When I am in town and want a great meal ... CP Grill is my first choice. Football season ... no better place to eat great food and watch games. Hopefully, they expand to NYC.

Great local bar and a mainstay on the CP strip. Pizza is made in an actual pizza oven which is pretty amazing for a neighborhood sports bar.
All the bartenders are great, remember faces and make the experience more fun.
The two things keeping this from 5 stars is 1. I wish they had more local beers on tap and 2. I wish they had a good happy hour special.

It’s a sports bar so there’s lots of tv’s which makes it great for watching any game. They deserve typical bar food.

Nice sports bar on Connecticut Avenue, in the Northwest area of Washington, DC. Nice offerings on the menu. Started with Kimmie’s Special Nachos that were a nice portion. The salmon platter was good and served with rice and a nice portion of steamed broccoli. The French Dip was very good and it was served with French fries. The CP Burger was an 8 oz patty served with french fries. Last, the Quesadilla #2 was ordered from the starter section. Lots of cheese and quite large. Good selection of beers. Plenty of TVs to watch sports. If driving, parking could be an issue, as we walked there. Nice neighborhood, felt safe. Friendly atmosphere. Seems like a fun place to hang out on the weekends. We will come back, next time we are in the area.

In a city that is often filled with bars and restaurants trying to be too "trendy", CP Bar and Grill is a comfortable place that gives you the classics. Similar to a Buffalo Wild Wings in set up, but superior in service and quality. The rooftop bar/deck is also the only in the neighborhood and they appreciate their regulars.

Admittedly it was my fault for going to a sports bar for food but thought it would be a fun rooftop for dessert. Got the tiramisu and it came in a plastic tray, 60%frozen. My girlfriend got a Sav blanc that could have passed for a wine cooler. My Allagash was good and the rooftop atmosphere was nice.

‘Steak’ in the steak and cheese and the ‘beef’ in the French dip was awful. Not sure what it was.
