Clydes always has a nice menu, good food at reasonable prices, charming decor with a pleasant ambience that is not too loud.
Loved Clyde's last night. Although it's a huge place, they have tons of comfy nooks everywhere so you always have a table in a warm room with wonderful ambiance. We had a film at Regal Cinemas so we only had 1 hour for dinner. We were able to order fish entrees and make our film easily. After being seated in a comfy booth around a bar, we found nice wines and ordered a salmon salad and salmon entree. Both were cooked perfectly. We had a lovely dinner. It was fun and relaxing and we definitely want to go back.
The crusted catfish and the pork chop were good enough but not remarkable, just OK: abundant portions. The fried calamari, clam chowder and cocktails were very good. A very nice American atmosphere and decor, very good place to chattering and chilling without the overwhelming crowded sensation; elegant lay out; huge bar on the first floor!
The food was excellent and well priced. The problem was the noise level. The restaurant is large and there are several eating areas. So the noise level should not be bad, but the music was blasting! I asked to have it turned down, which helped a little, but it was still too loud.
Just a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal...and at a great price. The food is consistently excellent. Last night before the Caps game, I had the meatloaf--just like Mom used to make. Service is also excellent.
Clyde's had super fast and friendly service. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was upscale, laid back, and relaxing. I would definitely return! Shout out to our server DJ, He was awesome.
Service is prompt, through and excellent. The food is tasty, though appetizer portions were small relative to cost.
Our waiter,Christopher was excellent. Food was great as well as the atmosphere. The only complaint I've is having the right changing tables in the ladies and men's room for the babies.

We hosted an improptu brunch that brought over 40 people. Both Mulan and Brandon were fabulous hosts making sure everyone was taken care of. The food actually came out faster then expected so that was a nice touch. The managers also let us use their big open room in the back for a photo opportunity.
I ordered the Norwegian Eggs Benedict and it was really good. Im a Benedict snob and I will definitely get that again. Prices are a little high for things like juice or soda ($5 for a small glass of juice) but everything else made up for it.
All in all, we will go again.
Parking: Parking is under the Capitol One Arena and can be tight. Entrance around the back of the building. Sometimes there is street but the metro is also right there.

Clyde’s at Gallery Place is a gem! The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, perfect for a night out. The food is consistently delicious—I’m a big fan of their crab cakes and seasonal dishes. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s my go-to spot for great food, good vibes, and a fun evening in the city.
