Clyde's offers excellent, straightforward, well served American food. It's been doing this for a long time and the quality has improved over the years. Four of us had a very enjoyable, reasonably priced, delicious meal at Clyde's Gallery Place. Keep it up, Clydes!

Service was impeccable. Food, as always, was great. You can never go wrong with the ambience.

Clyde's is always enjoyable but I was disappointed to see that two outstanding sandwiches--the Cubano and the Italian Melt--have been dropped from the menu.

Our server, Amber, and Justin were both incredible! We had a great time while we were there and the food was delicious.

Food was excellent & service top notch. We were able to get a same-day reservation for a Saturday which we appreciated.

I recently hosted my aunt's 65th birthday dinner at your restaurant, and I am compelled to write this review because the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, every single staff member made us feel welcomed and valued. However, our server, Amber, was the absolute star of the evening. She was incredibly attentive, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. Her warmth and genuine care turned a simple dinner into a truly special celebration. She even joined in on our festivities, which meant the world to my aunt and our entire family. Beyond Amber, the entire team demonstrated a remarkable personal connection with their guests. The management was visibly present and attentive, ensuring everything was perfect. It's rare to see a team work with such seamless synergy and authentic hospitality. Thank you to Amber and the entire staff for making my aunt's milestone birthday so memorable. We felt genuinely special, and we will absolutely be returning.

Clyde's provided a lovely experience for lunch with a friend. Conveniently located to the Metro, they had no problems accommodating us when we arrived quite early before our reservation. The dark wood, the beautiful light fixtures and abundant art work contributed to a relaxing but distinguished environment. Our server, Brandon, was helpful in every way and took excellent care of us, even happily taking on photographer duties when asked. Our burger and shrimp and grits were solid. My friend raved about her banana bread pudding. Prices were reasonable for DC. We're definitely looking forward to returning.

CLyde's is one of my go-to's. Always good food and service. Reasonably priced (especially for DC).

Been here twice. Service and food are top notch. Love the meatloaf! One of our favorite places to eat near the Klein Theater & National Portrait Gallery.

We had a pleasant lunch experience. The calamari was delicious and the service was attentive but not overbearing. Thank you 🙏

We arrived at 3:15 and were seated promptly. After a short wait, we ordered drinks and sandwiches. The drinks came fairly quickly. However, our sandwiches did not come to our table until 4:35 despite assurances they would be coming fairly soon. The waitress said the manager would come to speak to us. He helped bring food but didn't identify himself as the manager and dismissively said sorry . On the way out, I discovered he was the manager and asked him to explain why it took almost an hour for a sandwich. He didn't apologize and only said there was a big party (despite place being empty at that hour) and maybe ticket was misplaced. I am not a complainer and often go to Clyde's Tower Oaks and Friendship Heights but I won't go the Gallery Place again.
