It's crazy how good Kookoo is .. seriously. Brilliant kitchen, service and staff smiles all made for a wonderful first visit that definitely won't be our last. Perfect pita, excellent smoky eggplant and that pomegranate molasses chicken stew ... all sensational. It was also great to chat with the owner to hear (we asked!) story of remaking life in the US after the Iranian revolution and how the biz has evolved to this wonderful point. Kookoo was amazing!! We really enjoyed the food, especially the tahdig and falafel. Our entrees were delicious. I wish we had tried their desserts, but we were so full! Great service too, very friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

Truly one of the best dinners we've ever had. We went as a couple for Valentines' Day. We haven't had much Persian food before, so didn't know what to expect, but this blew us away. The eggplant was incredible, as was the chicken (comes with incredible horseradish-pickled onions and rice)! The drinks were also delicious (the vodka/lemon/lavender one was particularly good). We met the owner, Yahya, at the end of the meal and he was incredibly gracious and welcoming. We will be returning and bringing our family here when they are in town. So delicious!

Looking for exceptional fresh Persian food with spot on service and great art work this is your place . Authentic family recipes cooked by the chef that celebrates his family heritage with love and soul! Loved the steak/marinated tender chicken and sides, family braised chicken recipe in a pomegranate sauce over rice. Will return when we are back in town for sure!

The staff and owner are exceptionally friendly and helpful explaining the menu items and how they are prepared and where they originate. The ambience is very enjoyable and the food is wonderful with very generous servings.
