Recently visited this coffee shop in DC, and tried their iced café con leche on the hottest day of the summer. It was refreshing, and I haven't had anything like it before. The shop itself has a really nice atmosphere, perfect for sitting and chilling.

They don’t accept cash (even with exact change). 4% surcharge. Cocktail not really worth the wait time, especially just standing around the counter. Probably won’t come back.

There is public parking on T and 14th if you can’t find street parking , $24 for 2 hours on a Tuesday. It’s $20 if you have cash. Roof is dope but lots of mosquitos. Music is on point.

Great food, but takes 10-15 minutes to get empanadas once ordered. Way too long. Imagine how much more in sales they would do if they made the quick bite foods easier to grab and go. I'd be doing it more often, but the 15 minutes wait for small bites isn't worth it most the time. Good vibes and good food, wait time on food is the issue

Every time l go to DC l stop here great atmosphere and great food love their healthy choices
We stood at the counter and no one acknowledged us even though there were four staff working behind the counter and they took the order of the people in front of us. It was very rude and inappropriate.
Edit: thanks Colada shop for the response. I will send an email shortly. I think it would also be prudent to use this review as a timestamp to note which employees were working at the time, so they can be reminded that all customers should receive equal treatment.

Had the tamarindo soda and it was great. Only complaints are that they were out of both passion fruit and guava soda, and I also wish there were more vegan options among the desserts and overall food choices.

Colada is a restaurant with Cuban references. The meat empanadas are very tasty. The brownie is delicious!

I received soggy churros that were still wet inside and could not even stand up straight in the bag, barely coated with sugar. When I informed staff of my dissatisfaction it was framed as I just didn’t like the style they were made in, instead of responsibility being taken for delivering a mediocre product.
I did not have time to wait for them to be remade as such I requested a refund. I threw the soggy dough bag away and waited around for over 10 minutes while staff prepared several orders in front of me. I was informed that the manager, (who knew I needed the refund then left and never returned) had to come back and process it. Finally I had to leave or miss my reservation, so I left my contact information.
I have yet to receive my refund although I left my contact information four separate times since May 28, most recently with Horacio on 6/7. Horrible churros and even worse customer service. I look forward to an update as I don’t appreciate being repeatedly brushed off.
