Great service, yummy drinks, and amazing food! The huevos rancheros was soooo good (I switched out the feta for cheddar and added sour cream). The frozen drink was perfect summer refresher! I’ll be back! Only complaint was it was hot inside and I got bit by mosquitoes inside, but this is dc. Overall great spot!

We just came in with a family and we were 5 people. They literally had over dozen of tables available and they said that we had to wait for 1 hour to wait to get seated. Very rude and unprofessional. White manager discriminated our family and he didn’t event try to accommodate us. I even took a screen shot of how busy this place was on Google and it was very slow. As a hospitality owner, I strongly recommend not to come here with any large groups or families. We went to Logan Tavern next door and they gave us the seating.

The food was great albeit with a somewhat limited menu. The drink were ok as far as the recipe was concerned, but they definitely weren't made strong enough and their craft cocktails seem to use bottom shelf liquors as their default choice. Other than that....no complaints here.

I went with my daughter and wife to have breakfast, the restaurant was empty, there were at least 10 free tables when we got there. The host looked at us and told us there was an hour and a half wait. I turned around and looked at the empty place and told him that the restaurant was empty. He just laughed and told me 1 and half hour wait.
I want to emphasize that the restaurant was in an LGBTIQ area, and the host was part of it. When this happened, I felt that my family and I were discriminated by him. Obviously, I walked away and left. Went to the next door restaurant and were welcome happily.
Please don't go to a place that practice this kind of discrimination.

I saw this restaurant while walking in the neighbourhood. Booked for Sunday brunch we arrived 45 mins early for our booking due to a change in plan and the manager kindly seated us without any problem. The menu has a great choice, my husband had the steak and eggs and his steak was cooked as he asked and perfect. Good portion size not too big or small. I chose the avocado toast and added a poached egg and asked for bacon instead of the feta and sprouts and they happily swapped it out. If I had one criticism I was disappointed with the toast it says thick cut multigrain toast delivered from the bakery and I thought it would be proper handmade bread but to me it was sliced bread from a standard pack in the grocery store. We had the original Bloody Mary which was great.

The atmosphere was cozy and the service was good. Ordered their signature burger and it was surprisingly bland. It was okay, but could’ve been much tastier (especially for $20). For the month of June, 10% of speciality Pride Month cocktail sales go to the National Center for Transgender Equality — that’s definitely nice to see.

BRING BACK the Potato Pancakes and Eggs. Why mess with a good thing? The potato pancakes with eggs and salmon have brought me here for years. Now, they’ve been removed from the new menu. Please bring them back. I’d give you 5 stars if they were included.

Restaurant was fairly empty for a Friday night, but we ate late, so maybe that was it. The chicken tacos I had were fairly good if not outstanding, as was the house salad. Nothing objectionable and the service was pleasant. Good place to catch up with an old friend.

The staff and kitchen were very accommodating of the table's food restrictions and were friendly and helpful overall. Three of our table greatly enjoyed the avocado eggrolls. My father polished off the steak salad . I had a nicely cooked salmon filet accompanied by delicious honeyed carrots, and I don't usually care for cooked carrots. The cucumber mocktail was tasty and refreshing. All three of my dinner companions wear hearing aids, and while I chose the larger table offered to us, I definitely would opt for a smaller, more "intimate" table next time so that conversation might be easier to have. This is only the second dinner I've had at Commissary but I have been a number of times for brunch and have enjoyed every meal there.

A phenomenal experience. Food was exquisite, fresh and wonderfully vibrant as was the atmosphere. Welcoming, accommodating, and polite. Good manners go a long way. The music was also at just the right volume and of selection very few would turn thier nose up to. The prices were fare and decent.
The short rib breakfast was excellent though it could have used a slight bit more potatoes as filler. The meat was cooked to perfection, low on seasoning of course as to accommodate different tastes, the hollondaise was well flavored. Eggs were poached just right. The peppers and onions also just right not overcooked and slimey and not of a raw texture. The vegetables were clearly fresh. Although a bit more filler could be add in regards to potatoes the dish was over all excellent.
The coffee was strong however not in caffeine content.
The bloody Mary was simply wonderful stong ing alcohol but overpowering. Presentation was that of your basic bloody Mary, but done well. The rim flavor was as with the meal once again excellent.
I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant as it is certainly of the top tier in D.C.

Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly. Cartoons were playing on the screen for the youngsters.
