Liked this place. Staff were friendly and the vibe was chill.
Entered store around 1.55-2:00 PM. 12/20/25
First: Even though I wanted to pay cash, was told had no change. (Told I was first cash customer. So not prepared for that when opening store?)
Second: Told employee that one bathroom did not have any TP he said they knew about and said some else I did not catch.
Also, I am standing around waiting for my coffee. The barista is very soft spoken. I hear him tell someone that a coffee that has been sitting there (mind you I am standing there obviously waiting for an order he did not ask me what I was waiting for) and it is the latte I ordered. Then he tells me someone had pick up my cup but that they didn’t do anything to it. Great? So I reluctantly took it. Also a bit on the grungy in some areas. (See pics.)
So yup I will be avoiding this location in the future.

Visited recently and had a great experience overall. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place felt comfy and relaxed. Service moved along smoothly and everything was as expected. Prices seemed fair and the atmosphere made it easy to hang out. Left in a good mood and told a friend about it.
Stopped here on Saturday morning before visiting the holiday market across the street from here. It’s right in front of Capital One Arena, and there were a lot of Capitals fans at the cafe. The line was long but we got our order in 15 mins.
Gingerbread latte was exactly how I expected it. Creamy, savory, not too sweet. Drinking it in the cold weather finally gave me holiday vibe.
Oatmeal Latte was blend and didn’t like it. The cafe has plenty of seats but only two restrooms that require passcode.
Overall, great experience and option while visiting chinatown. Will come back here again.

Had a good visit. The staff was friendly and service met expectations. The spot felt relaxed and comfortable, with a laid back vibe. It did get busy at times so waits were a bit longer than hoped, but overall it was a pleasant experience and worth a visit.
If you use the app, BEWARE of their app scams like $25 loading credits expiring in a month! They never tell you that when they advertise!!!! To add insult to injury, they do a 50/50 split when it expires so you not only lose the incentive they advertise, you also lose what you paid out of pocket incrementally. Also they constantly FALSE advertise bonuses like 2X points for buying a latter today then you see that they didn’t give you the extra points in the app💩!

Great coffee and ambiance like all compass coffees, but it would be great if they could handle mobile orders in the morning, since so many people commute to offices in the neighborhood. Twice I’ve ordered through the app for pickup 10 minutes after opening, gotten confirmation that the order is ready, only to arrive and be told they couldn’t fill the order because of staffing.

Decent quality, but the service was lacking. The staff could be more welcoming and friendly.

They basically only played Taylor Swift the entire time I was there. 13/10.

The food is fine, but multiple times I've received food that WASN'T warmed when it needed to be. It's annoying. The custom flavors for lattes are REALLY hit or miss, stick to the standard coffee and you'll be fine. All that said, staff is always kind.

Ordered 2 Lattes. They were both almost one third empty and coffee tastes scorched again. Used to love this location and went often since I live close. Past couple times have been disappointing. I’ll have to go to another compass location or maybe Zekes or somewhere else. I believe you gotta be good at your craft or do something else
We got two drinks here. One was an iced chai which was okay, definitely different from other places. Then we got a fruit refresher tea drink, unfortunately it was not good. It had an after taste of an old coffee machine. Do not recommend this place.

I find out that today is the last day for Ms. Sabrina to work at the 650 F Street location and I was quite upset. She is a joy to see every time I come in. She is truly going to be missed.
