I am a long-time customer of this company and all the workers know me. I go to different branches every day. I always order extra hot lattes. Today, they made me cold lattes twice at this branch and I was very upset. I told their worker and showed it to him and threw the latte in the trash without using it. I am not satisfied with this branch and I will not return to this branch.

Popped in for an after lunch cortado. Coffee was terrible. Burnt, bitter. Barely drinkable. I couldn’t finish it. A waste of $5

The food here is horrible and it looks like they changed it with different ingredients because now it just tastes like plastic. Also the manager looks like she mistreats her employees. There was a situation today at the cafe and everything in that environment looked horrible !!!

Espresso is fine nothing special
Terrible texture on milk, I can’t express this enough, large bubbles most of the foam is dumped down the drain which leads to a thin poor latte or cappuccino, for the price and quality of equipment it’s clearly operator error. Pastries come from a plastic bag from some factory it seems quality is very poor. It used to be better when it first opened but unfortunately seems like management/owners have pushed out quality and raised prices

Edited May 2025: revise to reflect the current state of Compass Coffee. Due to the union busting, many talented baristas are no longer at the cafe and my coffee has been inconsistent and not good since. I haven’t had a good coffee from Compass in 6+ months so I will not be going anymore.

This has been my Compass Coffee for years and is the only coffee shop I go to. I even buy all of my beans from Compass to brew coffee at home because the espresso roast is my favorite. I just stopped by this morning to pick up my favorite cold brew. The workers are very friendly, efficient and hard working—keeping the store clean and working quickly to serve customers during busy hours. As such, they deserve to have working equipment, well staffed stores and support from their employer. Support their unionization efforts!!! I’m disappointed to see union busting tactics have begun to be employed.

My iced lavender honey latte had a weird bitter aftertaste, so I couldn't finish it. In addition, I tried a free sample of croissant and it tasted bad, couldn't finish it either, maybe it would be better warmed.

Honestly, what can you say about barrista staff who get to their coffee-office at 5:30 a.m. to serve customers with a smile at 6:00 a.m AND do not pressure anyone for tips? In fact, I don't think its possible to tip the early morning staff (Morgan and Natasha) despite their pleasant demaanor.

Honestly, I need to give you a bad rating for your pastries. They used to be delicious and now, with your change of suppliers, they are nothing more than a store bought croissant or muffin — mushy and rubbery with a lack of freshness. Low quality, not worth the calories.
Such a shame because I really like your coffee.
