Decent coffee. But them resisting amazing workers who are fighting for a union killed the taste for me. I'll come back if they embrace the union! We love coffee and especially baristas and workers that make it happen. Love, Jay ❤️🐦☕

Great coffee and pastries, BUT terrible app. The app allows a minimum of $25 to add funds (!!) and will not allow you to pay any balance in cash if your app funds are short. I had to add $25 to use $2. That’s pretty uncool. I’d go more if the app was more user friendly.

I recently had a disappointing experience at Compass Coffee that I feel compelled to share. I ordered a medium cup at 8 AM, but what I received was barely 3/4 of a cup—definitely more like a small. When I pointed this out, the barista simply asked if that was okay. It wasn’t, but I needed coffee, so I reluctantly accepted it.

To make matters worse, the coffee was cold and tasted inferior. How do you run out of drip coffee when you have two giant reservoirs ready to serve? It’s baffling that they would charge full price for such a subpar experience. This lack of attention to basic standards is unacceptable.

Overall, this experience has left a lasting impression on me, and I will not be returning to Compass Coffee again. Poor service and inferior coffee are simply not worth the price of $4.23.

I love everything about compass coffee EXCEPT they don't have an app for Android phones. That said, I can't use the offers they send. Wish that could be turned around

Was really disappointed in my experience today. Ordered a nitro cold brew which was decidedly weaker and less nitrogen charged than the 15+ other times I’ve ordered the same thing. The woman was so rude to me, like I was an audacious inconvenience. She insisted “that’s the right drink, it’s the same as ever”. The manager asked her to remake it, and instead she poured me a 1 oz sip in a cup in some kind of bizarre defiance while glaring daggers at me. At this point I chose to just leave rather than ask for my money back.

Well, you DID ask me to leave this review, so here goes...

I truly love the place (I've been to at least 5 locations and feel the same way at each one, so you're doing a LOT right), but your app kicked me in the nuts today when it delivered an intrusive message about a $5 promo. The promo "worked" because I did go to your Spring Valley location where I'm a semi regular for Nitro cold brew.

But when I began ordering at the counter, I believe your employee and I correctly realized (she really was not sure) that in order to take advantage of the $5 promo, the order would have to be made from the app. So I stood aside and added a payment method (first time user here, maybe last after what happened next) and even though I had gotten some kind of success message about being qualified for the $5 promo after funding my account with $25, when I typed in the promo code, I got a message that the code was not valid.

So I paid the normal price for my cold brew after coming in with the intention of getting a promo which would have made it free. Also, about an hour later, I got a notification from the app that my order was being prepared and even now as I write this in the middle of the night, my order history still shows that the order is almost ready!?

So there's no "app" rating section, but this (low overall rating) is really ONLY for that. I really prefer Compass over the other place next door but my Compass app experience today was a huge bummer.

Parking: Down by the end of Crate & Barrel, there are a few free 2-hour street parking spaces. If those are full, the paid lot in the back is best. Metered parking in front is super tight and narrow as well as scarce.

This Compass has gone dramatically downhill. There used to be a regular crew whose names I knew and who knew what they were doing. Now there is a constantly rotating set of people who are trying to figure out their jobs. As a result the service is impersonal and slow and the coffee drinks are inconsistent. What happened? Is this a result of growing too fast??

I've gotten coffee here a bunch of times on my way between MoCo and DC but this chain has been neglecting its staff for years and now that they're trying to unionize for better conditions to serve their customers better, they're firing the organizers, making service worse for customers in the process. Needless to say I'm not buying from here until management rehires the union organizers they fired and deals with them in good faith. You shouldn't either. Get your coffee somewhere else.
