Awesome vegan food!! As a vegan it is hard to find Italian food. Sat at the bar because they were expecting a bunch of reservations however the bartender was AMAZING! Will go back to visit

I love coming here but don’t feel confident with the impression it gives off as being an all Organic restaurant. It might have originally been but am unsure its current status

One of the best happy hours in DC, especially on Friday and Saturday night (goes until 8:30 at the bar only). Beer and wine are $5, cocktails are $6 or $7, and you can choose from a large list of small dishes, like pastas, pizzas and appetizers, all under $10 each. I got 3 cocktails, fettuccini Alfredo, short ribs, and a small pizza all for $35. All of the food was delicious. It really doesn't get better than that. Arrived at 7pm and waited for about a half hour for 2 barstools to open up, but it was worth the wait! Looking forward to coming back for happy hour and trying dinner sometime too.

I sent my friends to this place with my warmest recommendations. I visit this place often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The dishes they serve are great and the stuff is generous and cooperative. always when we go to this place we pass a splendid time. warmly recommended.

This restaurant has a really impressive vegan menu and while it is hard to find good vegan Italian food -- the amount of food you get (hardly any) just is not worth the price. It might be if the overall ambiance and decor of the restaurant were nicer -- but they aren't. Something is missing here.

A friend and I went to Coppi for dinner last night. We already knew from another review, corroborated by a look at the current menu online, that they no longer serve lamb. I tried to find out why and the waiter gave me these reasons: (1) It's too expensive. (2) It takes too long to cook. That's why we now offer steak. (3) People just don't order lamb. Hmm -- huh? I decided to order seafood risotto instead, believing it would be gluten-free (rice, not wheat). The waiter said it wasn't gluten-free. I asked him to speak with the chef. After speaking with the chef, he told me it was gluten-free. But although several items under Appetizers were listed as GF, no entrees had GF next to them -- including two risottos. They need to redo the menu, because many people need gluten-free options and need to see it under Entrees. When the risotto arrived, it was salty, soupy, and had a few pieces of tired-tasting seafood (that is, almost no taste at all). My friend ordered eggplant parmigiana and found it good except for the vegan cheese on top, which was so hard it couldn't be cut. We ordered cappuccinos and mentioned we needed to leave very soon. After 15 minutes and still no coffee, we asked for the bill, but also reminded the waiter the cappuccinos hadn't come. He said they discovered they had no milk to make it with and had run out looking for it. Luckily, he didn't put it on the bill. But he also just left us sitting there, rushing to get out, and didn't tell us that. We had a wonderful experience 9 or so months ago and came back prepared for the same. We wonder: Did the restaurant change owners? Or change chefs?

Atmosphere is comfortable. Service is professional. Many years ago we frequented the old Coppi's on Connecticut Av. and liked it. Then it moved to U Street and we went only occasionally. It was OK. Coppi's once again on the Cleveland Park strip seems like a good idea but the three times we've dined there we've been disappointed. Tonight I had the beet salad (quite good), but my main dish, risotto with seafood, was, to put no fine point on it, awful. The rice may have been arborio, traditional for risotto, but the cook added saffron and perhaps some sort of curry sauce--it had a bit of a kick. Risotto is usually creamy. Not in this dish. Instead, the rice had an unpleasant sour edge. "Meh" was the word my wife used to describe her vegan stir fry. With two glasses of excellent red wine, our bill, with tip, came to $96. Not expensive for DC but a lot to pay for mediocre cooking. Coppi's has an vivacious bar scene. There was not a seat to be had at 6:30 on a Wednesday night. The tables, by contrast, were almost empty. If you do go to Coppi's, find a seat at the bar, order a glass of red wine, a beat salad, and some pizza. You'll probably do far better than we did.

Delicious food, but extremely overpriced given the totally casual atmosphere and presentation, and especially the tiny dish size.

Good food and atmosphere. However, the service for our table was very inadequate. Extremely long wait for drinks, appetizers, and then food. It might have been just our wait-person as other tables served by other waiters seemed to receive their food in a more timely manner.

The endive salad appetizer was great. We had the eggplant Parmesan and the mushroom risotto as main courses. Both were excellent choices. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu, which was well done, but without rum, which is preferred. The photos of the champion cyclist Fausto Coppi on the wall are intriguing. It was a quiet evening and we were able to meet two diners next to us and were able to strike up an interesting conversation about politics running a restaurant.

Good mix of vegan and non-vegan options. Surprisingly, no vegan options for coffee lightener. Would have expected soy or almond milk. Portion sizes were a bit small for my taste, but my wife was happy with hers. Homemade hazelnut spread in the dessert was excellent. Bar atmosphere, and seating near the front was a bit chilly. Overall the vegan options make this a good choice, but if you're not vegan you can do better.

The setting is calm and relaxing. Nothing over the top in decor except for the multitude of pictures of competitive biking in Europe. The staff was competent, attentive, informative and honest. When we asked for recommendations, they were balanced and instructive. We had multiple starters and entrees and all were well prepared, utilizing fresh ingredients in interesting and creative combinations.

Came here for a birthday celebration with a small group of friends. The place is quite quaint with a fun decor and ambiance. Kinda like an old school local restaurant. The service was good. Our waiter was attentive and brought our food out pretty quick. We ordered some apps and each of us ordered entrees. For the apps we really liked the butternut squash. It was a baked dish that was pretty tasty. Not salty and not sweet but a good warm vegetable app. We also ordered the calamari which was ok. For the entree I ordered the spinach and cheese ravioli. It was 4 big pieces of ravioli! Pretty good also and pretty rich and filling. The menu had a lot of vegan options and I really want to come back and try some of those out too. Finally we ordered some desserts. My wife loved the Nutella crepe. I thought it was good too but could not eat the whole thing. The staff came out and sang happy birthday to our friend. The price for the food was pretty good!! I would came here again!!

I don’t care if food is good or not. After 30 minutes waiting for a beer and countless wait for food I know I will never come back. Waitera are nice, place has an atmosphere, bjt this wait time is ridiculous.
