Copycat is one of my DC go-tos! The food and drinks are always above par! I do wish they had a happy hour offering. Their drinks are all price at $18 which is good for DC, and the bourbon smash is a favorite! The atmosphere is top notch! Highly recommend!

Hands down my favorite bar and Asian restaurant in the entire city!! Their drinks are amazing and the bartenders are ACTUAL craft bartenders. The chili wontons are my ultimate comfort food. If this place ever closes, we’ll have to leave DC in protest. A MUST go to!

I tried giving this place another chance after a bad first impression, but unfortunately, it’s still mid. Save your money.

Food great. Took a star off because of the wait time. All in all it's one of my favorite places to show off in the neighborhood. Order the garlic pork belly dish. Chefs kiss!

I love copycat! Been there a couple times and the staff is always friendly and they make great drinks. This is a true cocktail bar, you can literally ask for any drink and they can make it. They also have a solid menu of rotating spotlight drinks which is a great way to try something new. Don't sleep on the food either my favorite thing is the chili wontons but anything you get will be good (especially the noodles).

$16 for the portion size if such a rip off. Also what is this noodle option. This does not seem like good Asian food.

Its been awhile since i have been out to a bar late at night because i have kids and a dadbod. That being said, this bar is amazing! Bartenders know their drinks and are a master of their craft. Small place but full of energy and great staff especially who were working tonight 8/8/2025. Highly recommend. Dont take my word or review. Go there yourself and find out. You wont be disappointed!!

Dry and overcooked lamb skewers, underwhelming service, crab fried rice was heavy on ginger and spice...had a good amount of crab, at least. I prefer their sister restaurant, Astoria.

You're paying for good vibes, delicious food, but small portions. We got the dan dan noodles and spicy wonton soup. Both were phenomenal and the Dan Dan was probably the best I ever had. That being said it was pretty pricey and the portion we got was pretty small. The dan dan noodles were $16 (2025) and came in an appetizer bowl. All of the cocktails are $18 regardless of whether you are getting an Old Fashioned or something more extravegant.

The chili wontons were packed with flavor, and the chicken skewers were juicy and well-seasoned. The highlight of the meal was definitely the green chili chicken — the combination of peppers and scallions gave it an extra kick that made it stand out. I gave 3 stars for atmosphere only because it was very busy and we had to sit outside on the patio, which was uncomfortably hot. That said, the food more than made up for it!

Ordered the Lazi chicken to-go.
It’s my favorite dish on the menu.
I get it often but normally dine in.
Tonight’s order was “skimp”. Even the bag felt light. I don’t think I’ve ever been given a reason to complain about copycat up until now.
I’m accustomed to having leftovers to eat at least 2 more times. Which is why I ordered a second side of rice. Because 1 side is never enough for the amount of chicken they give you. But tonight’s order did not meet my usual expectations. Disappointed because this is my splurge meal😔
& idk if my dissatisfaction has made me feel like whoever made this didn’t put any love in it tonight, but it’s also not braised how it normally is. The chicken is usually a bit darker in color. It’s quite pale compared to past experiences.

Damn I love this place. The drinks are amazing and the food is just as good. It’s billed as a cocktail bar but don’t sleep on the snacks. The pan fried dumplings, spicy beef noodles, and the lamb noodles all to die for. The bartenders were very nice and offered recommendations even sold me on another round of noodles after the first one was so good. Can’t wait to stop here again next time I’m in D.C.

Good food, great drinks, and awesome food. We got a lot of dishes but the stars of the meal were the lamb noodles and chicken skewers. Drinks were good with a heavy poor. Very cool vibe, but it’s a bit tight in there when it’s busy, so be prepared.
All in all, great spot. Would definitely go back.
