Food and wine was great, but the service was the worst I’ve experienced so far in DC: yes it was Valentine’s Day and full, but servers were walking back empty handed, while empty plated were stacking up on the table. It took ages to order and receive the food. And this is was the first time that a restaurant told they ran out of „menus“ so I had to look up my food on the website. The lady from the reception was very attentive and helped out but the regular servers were clearly not up to the task.

Wine market, bar, small plates joint in a good location. Stopped in for a flight and light bite on a Saturday night. The downstairs bar/market was packed, lots of energy, and buzzing. We were upstairs because we had a reservation. Decidedly quieter up there only a couple of other folks dining, the back room had a large party (15) cozy with lighting in the right place. We started with a flight and narrowed in on Pomerol by the glass. The Somm was friendly, knowledgeable, and made a good suggestion for our final glass, a Cahors. A licorice-bomb that we really liked. On the food side, we were very basic, fries with homemade ketchup; French onion soup, with cheddar and a nice bread on the side; and roasted/fried cauliflower with yogurt, pine nuts, and pickled raisins, which was a little overdone. We didn't venture much further on the food menu, but we were really here for the wine anyway. On our way out, we perused the markets but weren't able to find that Cahors in a bottle server/somm. sensing our dilemma, procured a bottle for us from the back. Nice experience, I'd explore more by the glass options here and they have some interesting finds in the wine market.

The atmosphere wasn’t terrible, but it was so loud we could hardly have a conversation. The food was okay, not memorable, but not bad either.
What really stood out in a negative way was how rushed we felt. Our drinks were refilled almost too quickly, and at one point, our glasses were even taken away, which felt quite disrespectful. Overall, I don’t see myself coming back.

We stopped by randomly after some awful service at Gypsy Kitchen. What an absolute gem of a spot Cork is. Great wine, knowledgeable and attentive staff, and the food was memorable. Recommend the duck breast! Will be back again.

Really cute place to do wine flights. We got the sparkling and red and the pours were very generous for the price point. Didn’t get food, but it smelled so nice in there. It was pretty chill people wise so the service was good too. So, nice wine flights for the price. (FYI They do have a 5% fee, just be aware. It is marked clearly on the menu.)
If we went back we’d go for cheeseboard and wine!

Bought a sub par over priced bottle and there was a $25 corkage fee!!! The food isn’t great. Never returning.

Amazing spot to drink and eat. Their wine selection to drink and purchase are fabulous. We ended up with a solid grand cru rose that turned out to be my favorite champagne of the year. Don’t miss coming out to this spot.

Such a quaint little place, I see why people love it here. There's a secret patio and an upstairs dining area, neither which I got to explore, but I will on my next visit. They were at the end of food service when I arrived as the kitchen closes at 3, so I sat at the bar.
The bartender, DJ, was pleasant and attentive. He made some recommendations of his favorite things, but as I wasn't that hungry, I opted for the cheese plate. I was excited that I as was able to walk over to the cheese corner to see a description of each cheese before I made my selection. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc to go with the cheese and it was a great pairing.
Sammie, one of the owners, came and greeted everyone at the bar and engaged in conversation about all the changes in the city. It's always nice to meet personable owners. One of the regulars requested a froze and talked about how delicious it was, so I ordered one as well. Omg, it was light, refreshing and indeed delicious, perfect for a hot summer day.
It's the city, so parking is crazy, but on Sundays, parking isn't as bad. I found parking just a block away. I'll definitely return on a Sunday again.

Both wine flights (rose bubbles and chill red) were great. The duck confit and octopus were also well prepared. The only negative was the heat. It got quite comfortable causing us to leave sooner than expected.
We stumbled upon the wine bar while walking and decided to pop inside for a quick drink! The wine menu was so fun with all the different regions and I liked exploring the options on the ipad. We sat at the upstairs bar and the bartender/server was amazing (pretty sure her name was Stacy). She was very nice and recommended great wines! We ended up staying for more than an hour because the atmosphere was so nice and the staff were so welcoming. If I am back in the DC area, I will definitely go back to this wine bar!!

We had a perfect Mother's Day brunch at Cork. The service was outstanding (thanks Stacy!) and the food was excellent and very high quality. I never leave reviews but I thought Cork really deserved high praise.
Awesome place! Will definitely go back. The wine is fabulous!
