I ordered the Parmesan Truffle Garlic Tots and they were horrible. They were cold as hell and hard as a brick, they tasted like they had been reheated them from the previous day. Very disappointing!

Didn’t feel safe with my toddler…I wanted to grab a nice breakfast with my son before going to the Smithsonian National Zoological Park. There was what looked like a young homeless man that had a harmless exchange with the staff and then the young man went to the restroom. My son and I went into the restroom after the young man, so I could change my son’s diaper. Someone at the restaurant started pounding on the door with their fist so hard that my son said “Dada I’m scared.” I shouted to the person “Someone is in here” and got no reply. Things were quiet for a couple minutes and then someone started pounding on the door profusely which frightened my son even more. They then started shouting that they were going to call the cops if I didn’t come out, which I didn’t understand. I shouted “Why are you going to call the cops?”, and they said I needed to come out now. I yelled back that I was going to call the cops if they didn’t leave since I had my son with me and they were frightening him. We finished up, and when we walked out no one was at the door. It turned what should’ve been a nice outing with my son into a traumatic experience.

came here for a quick breakfast and was pleasantly surprised! I got the loaded tots and found it to be a lot of food for a great price. the bacon is sweet, but nothing that was too distracting to me. they work super fast and the seating is plentiful and clean.

We tried The Animal and Rancheros Cucamonga, and both were very delicious! First time here, service was awesome, and highly recommended. We will be back to try more of the menu!
The cracked eggery. It's one of the best places for breakfast in DC! They feature gourmet breakfast sandwiches and bowls. On my most recent visit I got the mayor sandwich. It's a huge bacon and egg sandwich on a Brioche bun. The bacon is plentiful and slightly candied. The sandwich is topped with a signature sauce. At $11 a pop, it's pricey for a casual grab and go sandwich, but trust me It is so worth it! I've tried many add the other items on the menu and have never been disappointed. They're all scrumptious!
Parking: If you go after 9:30 am there is metered street parking. There is a lot that has paid parking of you do some shopping at Target you'll get an hour for free. Otherwise, it's $25 for an hour. The cracked eggery Is steps away from the cleveland park metro station. If you're on the red line, that's the perfect way to get there.

The staff are usually pretty nice, save for the few that obviously dont want to be there and treat you as such but The Price of the meals dont justify the portion at all. For $15 you get a meal that barely fills out the dish they give you. You get 8 tater, 6 pieces of chicken, and a small quarter of egg if you get the saint elmos fire. The sandwiches are also expensive for no reason. The quality no where justifies the price. Id say the meals would feel like a rip off even at $8. Overly expensive for subpar, small portioned food. Skip this place if you're looking for a meal. Too many other places with affordable meals at a much bigger portion!
