A creative blend of Spanish influenced cuisine using traditional Japanese materials. Wonderful service, atmosphere and cocktail selections.

Wonderful dining experience at this restaurant, all the staff was extremely prompt, professional, and personable. The culinary level of marrying Spanish and Japanese cuisine was absolutely fantastic and the beverage menu was beautifully made with the cultural concept. Me and my friend Darius had a great time and I hope to be back in the new year!

Spending Christmas dinner with my family at Cranes was an experience that felt both intimate and special. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and calm. The restaurant struck a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it an ideal place to celebrate such a meaningful occasion. We were all seated in a cozy private corner. Our server explained the menu and recommended the eight course omakase in order to capture the full experience. Every course of the omakase reflected care, creativity, and respect for the ingredients, blending Spanish flavors with Japanese precision in a way that felt both familiar and surprising. The pacing of the meal allowed us to truly savor each bite, turning dinner into an experience rather than just a meal. What truly elevated the evening was the service. Our server Erika was attentive, and genuinely kind, creating a sense of warmth that made the holiday feel personal. She took the time to explain each course and ensured we felt cared for throughout the night. We truly enjoyed the experience and will be back soon!

Every aspect of the experience was superb from start to finish. Our server Samandar was knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly, and engaging. We ordered the Omakase at his recommendation and the culinary standards for the preparation of every component in each dish was world class. No hyperbole. Everything was delicious, fresh, and innovative. There was a lot going on that we had never seen before, and I couldn't remember eating fresher, or better products on a plate in this city and I have tried the best ones. Very memorable. Will be back. Highly encourage others to go.

I stopped for lunch and was thoroughly impressed by their bento box lunch special. The food was delicious and substantial. The miso caramel sauce for the churros at the end was incredible.

We had one of the most sublime dinners at Cranes and ordered two four course Omakases, some incredible tapas (eggplant confit, patatas bravas, salmon crudo, catch of day tartar) and the incomparable seafood paella and market fish as main courses.
Everything was exceptional, and beyond compare - a perfect balance of flavors & textures, freshest ingredients and the prices are very reasonable too.
The passion for cooking is evident in every dish.

Tried the wednesday special but found all items a bit 'trashy', highly sauced, salted, and oily, if not uninspiring. Maybe for a more sophisticated palet, skip this and do the main menu items or omakase, unless you feel for a 'junkier indulegence' meal, which beats the quality of chains like Chilis for example, but maybe not the fine dining you may be after. Wasted my time, would have been happier paying more for better.
Came in for PIM PAM PUM Wednesdays and had an amazing experience. If you have never visited this restaurant, i would highly recommend trying it out on a Wednesday. This experience allows you unlimited tapas for around $50. This was a great way to try everything out on the menu in small portions to know which items you really enjoyed. I had the pleasure of having Storm and the rest of the bar team take care of me and they were exceptional. I’m looking forward to coming again.
$46 per person.

A friend and I came here for happy hour to catch up and ordered a few dishes on their HH menu and I thought every item was solid with not much to say in terms of highlights. They were relatively small in portion as well, reflecting more of a tapas style. I thought it was innovative for them to incorporate Asian cuisine into small plates, which is becoming more often nowadays in fancy settings as well.
The oysters had pretty good ponzu so I had a good time tasting it. The miso glazed tofu had pretty good crispy texture on the tofu skin but the flavor was slightly lacking because it relied on the glaze for flavor. The curry udon was a combination that I didn't think worked as well because the curry wasn't staying on the noodles as easily as it would on rice. Finally, the karaage chicken tasted pretty regular, and the rayu aioli had predominantly mayo flavor, so I thought it was just mayo mixed with some other stuff instead.
Probably at some point I would return here again to try their food from other menus instead of just happy hour, like their omakase experience. I will say, though, that having 4-8pm as the happy hour time is a great move!

An unexpected gem! Cranes is where every bite reveals a world of flavors. The dishes look as stunning as they taste — simply incredible, pure pleasure in every bite and every drop.

Had an early bite at Cranes and really enjoyed their happy hour offerings. The tuna tartare and bok choy were especially tasty and fresh. The chicken karaage was just okay in comparison. Overall, a very nice spot for quality food and a relaxed early dinner.

I'd err on the side of 3.5 stars for this review. We visited with two friends for the Pim Pam Pum Wednesday small plates special, and as we arrived early and had to wait for our friends, we went to the bar to enjoy a drink. I sincerely hope the restaurant was experiencing a bartender shortage last night and this wasn't their normal operating status -- it took 10 minutes from ordering a beer and simple cocktail to receiving them (bar was 25% full). It was not a great start (even after the wait, the cocktail wasn't great, and the beer was warm and going flat).
Upon getting seated for dinner, our server came and introduced herself and asked our water preferences, which arrived a few minutes later, and she came back again to explain the premise to us without taking a drink order for our friends, and *finally* took their order for drinks after being seated for ~20 minutes. We opted to try everything on the food menu rather than order items individually, and once we did that, the food started coming out FAST. Like, before our friends had their drinks and it just kept COMING OUT FAST. The pacing probably needs to be revisited.
All of that aside -- the food was by and large delicious. Some favorites were the miso-glazed tofu, fried rice, udon noodles, patatas bravas and their catch of the day. Unfortunately the burger was a major miss -- the flavors were great, but the wagyu beef was cooked into a hockey puck (way overdone).
Overall, now that we know what we like off of the menu, we'd probably return with the acknowledgement that service might be a touch shaky. The real problem seemed to be with the bar and unfortunately it soured our experience -- hopefully they can get more help behind the bar soon! Offering a sake by the glass for happy hour would be a major plus, too :)
