I haven’t tried the food here yet but it always looks and smells good when someone else orders and it passes by me. Otherwise, very cool and classy space with great bartenders that offer NA beers and mocktails for those of us who don’t drink. They do close earlier than other bars so I wish they stayed open just a bit later.

Came here Friday night. Was super excited after seeing the pictures with views from the rooftop bar/restaurant so I got reservations but unfortunately was disappointed. Maybe I missed it somewhere but had to find out after being seated in the dungeon of the restaurant that the rooftop area is only open during a certain time of year. Ummm, 🤔 I would think that would be the main attraction. The money maker. So they should figure it out and winterize it or something. So yeah after being deceived we ended up ordering a round and some food which was ight. Cut our losses and kept it moving. Honestly could have just skip this place altogether. I am giving it a 4 star because I don’t like giving bad reviews but it’s really a 3 star.

This place has a great whiskey selection and good food. The bar staff were fun and friendly. Worth a visit, even if you aren't staying in the hotel.
I went with coworkers last night, on a saturday before a capitals game. This place is a hidden gem, I am very pleased with our experience. I have been to the rooftop before, which was closed, but the downstairs speakeasy-esque bar area is top notch. I think we lucked out because the venue was not overly packed like other venues near the arena. Bartenders had excellent service and we all had a blast! thank you, we will be back!

Make sure you call when making a reservation to check if the space has been booked for a private event. I've reserved a table twice only to find out they had a private event and it was closed to the public when I arrived. No one cancelled my reservation or let me know. Poor experience overall

Paid $8 in automatic 20% gratuities for the bartender to spend 15 seconds pouring two $20 glasses of low-end wine. Then the restaurant adds DC sales tax on top of the mandatory gratuity.
Is this even legal? It is certainly dishonest and abusive.
Another review from a year ago reports the same, so it appears this abuse is a matter of policy and not some one-time mistake.
