Absolutely delicious pasta and desserts (Budino!). The focaccia is every bit as good as the reviews had us believe. Would’ve preferred not to have been kept waiting after making a reservation at the front desk, but the service after we were seated was impeccable. Had a great time and will definitely be back.

Cucina Morini delivers a refined yet comfortable dining experience right in the heart of DC. The atmosphere feels warm and intentional, perfect for both a relaxed dinner and a more elevated evening out. The pasta was fresh, balanced, and full of authentic flavor. Service was attentive without being intrusive, which made the entire experience seamless. Definitely a spot worth returning to when you want quality Italian cuisine with a polished downtown vibe.

We had a great time last night at Cucina Morini. Our server Zach provided relaxed and knowledgeable service. We had one friend who has celiacs, and he knew exactly what we could and could not order for the table. The entire team was professional and accommodating. Plus, we loved the option of ordering smaller servings of the pasta so we can enjoy multiple dishes. We will most certainly visit again.

Can’t recommend this place enough! My friend and I got to check out Cucina Morini during their “Morini Monday” promotion, and I’m so happy we did. To start, we got a focaccia and were stunned by how delicious and fresh it was. To drink, I strongly recommend the rosmarino!!

For main courses, we split a spaghetti cacio e pepe, a paccheri ala norma, and a gnocchi (the Morini Monday promotion includes smaller plates for $10 and three dishes was the perfect amount for the two of us). All three of these dishes were AMAZING! Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted spectacular.

Also need to highlight how amazing the service was! Our waiter Cesar was incredibly kind and answered every question we had about the menu. We’d heard about an MVT resident discount, and the manager Paulene was incredibly helpful and so so kind.

Overall, a MUST if you’re looking for above and beyond food and service.

Probably one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to in all of DC. Food was amazing, service was exceptional.

Wish I could rate higher given that the food was good but one of our drinks didn’t arrive after 30 mins and our server didn’t punch it in until we asked about it. After that, it still hadn’t arrived after a while and had to ask a busser when we could expect it to arrive and we got it, finally, two mins later. Could’ve comped it at that point but no. The chocolate custard and pistachio gelato was delicious

Went to Cucina Morini for the first time during DC Restaurant Week and it was amazing! The atmosphere was great and the playlist was such a vibe 👌🏾

The food was fresh, handmade, and absolutely delicious, and the service was out of this world. On my first visit, I had the squash and shrimp soup, crispy salmon, and gelato. My friend and I also ordered the fingerlink potatoes and focaccia bread, so good!
I loved it so much that I went back again that Friday with another friend and ordered the spaghetti with mussels and the gnocchi. Once again, 5 stars and stellar service!

I’m definitely coming back for the $10 Pasta Monday. This is new favorite restaurant that I’ll be bringing all my friends and family to when they visit me in DC.

I’m sure the food is good but you MUST go to the martini hour. The main bartender is 👩🏽‍🍳 💋. I mean DC is full of BS bars that are vibes only but this experience is too tier!!!

First time trying Cucina Morini and got to dine during restaurant week!

While waiting for our last friend, we had martinis at the bar for Martini Hour which is a DEAL. $7 and I had the Calla Rossp which was a fun, fruity drink! 🍸

For restaurant week we had the burrata (fantastic), gnocchi and spaghetti w/ mussels (both were amazing), and the gelato sundae (one of the BEST desserts I have had at a restaurant). To top it off, this 3 course dinner was only $40, one of the best deals you can get!

Not only were the food and drinks fantastic, but service was quite stellar. A shout out to Carlos for bringing ALL the vibes on a Friday night from the start and attentively checking on us ladies! 🫶🏾

I cannot wait to come back here and thank you for a top-notch dining experience ✨️

Carlos deserves to be cherished. Full stop.

The service here wasn’t just good—it was alive. Attentive without hovering, sharp without stiffness, the kind of front-of-house rhythm that tells you someone actually gives a damn. Carlos is on fire, and whoever’s steering that ship up front ought to be rewarded accordingly.

The food? Truly great. Not the single best thing I’ve eaten in my life—and I mean that as praise, not faint praise. It finished strong, confident, honest. The kind of meal that knows exactly what it is and doesn’t need to shout about it.

But what really separates this place from the pack is the service. I tried to drink a glass of water dry just to see if it could be done. It cannot. These people are relentless in the best possible way.

I only wish we lived closer, because this would be a regular stop, no question. As it stands, I’ll just have to do the next best thing—tell every friend I’ve got in the city to get themselves over here.

Well done, all around.
