Was heartbroken when their H Street location closed down during COVID, but so glad I can order delivery from their new kitchen. Hopefully they're able to navigate through this and open another location on H! Food is nearly identical to what it used to be and still completely delicious.
Really good Tea. But food quality is average. All the curries are mostly same taste or very mild taste.
I ordered chicken biryani and it was really tasty. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. I would come back.
The food was absolutely delicious, my partner and I loved the food and the service. The people were very nice and friendly too. Definitely recommend the Butter Curry
I ordered the butter chicken curry and it was absolutely delicious, the naan was great as well. The staff were super friendly and nice, I'd definitely return!
Tried the Madrasi Chicken Curry and it was very nice.
One of the best Indian food I ate. The paneer was soft, the daal taste amazing. The samosa was crispy and the chutney were very good. Everything was served hot and made fresh.
My family and I are vacationing in DC, my sister called and they said they're "under renovation". Something didn't seem right. I called from my phone and was told "sorry we are full right now" I asked for the next available they asked how many of us and when we wanted to come " I responded 4 and 8pm" I was put on hold and told " we are full". Bottom line I'd never want PURE LIARS to even serve us. HORRIBLE. NOT TO MENTION SUPER SKETCHY!
Worst food ever!!!!we ordered normal Chicken curry with some naans to go withIt took them 2 hours to prepareon top of it NO one curry is edibleWORST TASTE.
Went there with great expectations reading reviews but dissatisfied and disappointed.Ordered roll which was basically naan with stuffing on its top and most importantly no SALT in anything . On asking , they had no salt but pepper and salt mixed with each other. I was amazed as an Indian restaurant not having salt in the kitchen.Maybe ordered a wrong dish . However staff is courteous and polite and helpful. No complaints from staff, only food.
Restaurantji Recommends
The pin is a bit off, but worth finding. Follow your nose and you'll end up underneath the large American and DC flags.
Decent food if eating in, I’d recommend not ordering delivery from here - not sure why but consistently takes a very long time and unclear communication.
A great spot with fantastic curry/masala. I've been eating from them for the past 2 years and their quality has never changed
Sad to see that Cusbah has changed ownership and is in a new location. This was one of my favorite Indian restaurants. The staff was always courteous and professional. My favorite thing to order was the lamb vindaloo. It was always cooked to perfection and just so yummy. I hope the new owners keep the same tasty menu that I have grown to love.
I certainly loved the food and customer service, awesome area close to where I live. The workers are always super nice. Will come back again.
