Exceptionally good food. Price point is on the level of a Michelin-it earned a star in ‘21- the ambiance is good-highly recommend will be going again.
Food was outstanding. Service..not; we were rushed through our meal as salads, apps and steaks came out within 5 minutes of each other. That's great when ordering at Wendy's, not so much when expecting a superior dining experience.
the food was amazing. Our server Mr AbdulYoussefi was super nice and friendly. The only thing in my opinion was not matched with the ambiance and the quality was the music. Not a good choice of music but the rest was fantastic
Like many steakhouses, it's ridiculously overpriced. $600 including tax & tip for four people, with only two drinkers. That's with no appetizers or desserts, just three steaks, one pasta dish, two sides to share, and four total glasses of wine. The service was fine, but nothing special. We were visiting from out of town, and it was a lovely meal with family, but I think we could have had a great experience elsewhere for a lot less.
Nice rooftop bar
Small menu, DJ a bit too loud

Endless regret - that's how I feel after eating at CUT DC last night. Aside from our server, who was kind and professional, I cannot identify any redeeming qualities about this restaurant that would justify the astronomical prices on their menu. We had the shrimp cocktail, the filet, the ribeye, the truffle fries, and the broccolini. The steaks were correctly prepared, but my ribeye did not reflect any dry-age flavor as suggested--for all I know they picked it up at Giant earlier today. The fries and broccolini could have been served by an above-average Applebee's location--maybe the steaks as well. I ordered an expensive glass of whiskey--Springbank 18--as a special treat, but the flavor was way off. I have to question whether CUT's supplier has fooled them with fake whiskey bottles. Nothing about our experience merited the $460 we paid after tip.
Great food, classic steakhouse ambience and friendly service describe my experience at Cut. Lobster ceviche was creative and tasty. My bone-in New York Strip was tender and flavorful. For desert, the Bake Alaska hit the perfect note to finish dinner! Overall, I would highly recommend Cut for a nice steakhouse experience.
I dined here before and the food and service was outstanding. Unfortunately, the food was not as good this visit. However, the service remained outstanding. I ordered the Australian Waygu Ribeye medium well, but it was well done and a bit dry. I could not cut my broccolini with my steak knife, but it was very flavorful. My dining companion ordered the American Wagyu Ultra Bavette and loved it! I would still recommend this restaurant.
Good service, but a tad slow. Your waiter will be nice and kind, but food does take a minute and it did take a while to get our water to the table. This wouldn't have been a problem for the food time, if the restaurant offered bread or some kind of table shareable as yo wait.
I really don't know how to start but this restaurant always goes over the top when it comes to service! My wife doesn't eat seafood that said no restaurant we go to except Cut pays attention to that. The manager brings over small appetizer 3 seafood and 1 not. That small detail my my wife feel extremely special! So again thank you so very much . This is the best restaurant in Washington DC!

Family dined for restaurant week. I must say they offered great selections on their menu. The steak, lobster ceviche, desserts are all superb. Although one missed point is their cocktail, a bit jipped on the alcohol. Other than that, service is impeccable. Thank you.
We went for Restaurant Week. I started with the Butter Lettuce Salad and my husband had the Fire Roasted Eggplant. The salad was beautiful and tasty, but could have used more avocado. The eggplant was delicious. I had the Wagyu Bolognese and my husband had the Maryland Blue Crab Fried Rice. The Bolognese was out of this world. My husband thought that the crab fried rice was tasty, but did not match up to the Bolognese. I had the Dark Chocolate Soufflé, which was delicious, but huge. I could not finish it. My husband had the 'Basque Style' Cheesecake and really enjoyed it. The wine list is pricey and the restaurant's decor could do with a refresh. However, we really enjoyed our meal. Also, our server, Stephen, was great.
Great first-time experience! Our server, Steven was very helpful and kind and Gonzalo's humor was welcomed after a long work week ?. Our food was tasty and hot, which we appreciated. Looking forward to eating there again!!
Simply put, Amazing! Dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s CUT has an intimate, romantic, and cozy atmosphere that really makes you feel at ease and welcome; also making it the perfect dinner out as a couple! The staff were all immensely friendly and very helpful with my significant others gluten and black pepper allergies! They took great care of that as well as the both of us in general. The craft cocktails were incredible with perfect balances of flavor and aesthetically appealing looks! Our dinner, she and I both got a steak, which looked so amazing I forgot to take a picture, was absolutely a gastro game changer! We both agree that they were the best steaks we’ve ever had by far. The flavor wasn’t overpowering, it was just right and the temperatures were simply perfect! If you're in DC and have an appetite for steak then CUT by Wolfgang Puck should be you’re first consideration!

We went for restaurant week. I was frustrated that I couldn't find the menu online, but I figured a steakhouse would certainly have steak on the RW menu. Once we arrived, I was shocked that the upcharge for steak was $35. That's more than 50% of the RW cost of $65. Two other items on the menu also had upcharges, which narrows down your options and really doesn't feel in the spirit of Restaurant Week. On top of that, my husband's steak frites (*which we paid an extra $35 for*) didn't arrive with the frites. It took forever to flag down the server and then another long time for the fries to actually arrive. All in all, wasn't expecting to spend over $320 for two Restaurant Week dinners, 2 drinks and a beer.
