Das is so wonderful every time I go - the staff, the food and the vibe is always excellent.

The food was good but I've eaten at a lot of Ethiopian restaurants and my main complaint was that the food wasn't exactly hot when it arrived. The beef tibs were a bit dry. The lamb was outstanding. And the lentils and collards were good but only lukewarm.

We had a recommendation to eat here from a tour guide and we were so glad we did! The food was delicious, service was great and overall experience very enjoyable.

Everything was incredible, from the staff to the appetizers, to the dessert! The meal was the most delicious we've ever tasted. If you go with a group, get different items, as it is family style and you'll get to experience all the different dishes. You will not be disappointed!!

A good place to try Ethiopian food. They have quite a few vegetarian options.

Food has taken a turn for the worse.... Once really good but on this evening rather bland and uninspiring

This place and the food are amazing!! We all shared the sambusas, the lamb tibs, and the beef and chicken sampler

Since we were 5 at a table meant for 4 it was a bit crowded but everything else was perfect!

It's been awhile since we were last here but the food and service are as exceptional as we remember. We had the shrimp, chicken and beef on a veggie platter, a couple bottles of wine, and three desserts (incl one for the birthday guest) - and we were completely taken care of. I highly recommend this restaurant on the edge of Georgetown.

Had a great experience here. They were able to seat us without a reservation fairly promptly despite it being a busy Friday evening. Food was delicious and flavorful and felt authentic, and lots of variety present. Good vegetarian options as well. Staff was kind and attentive.

Really enjoyed the Vegetarian Combination Taster plate. A little of everything. Good flavours and surprisingly filling. Staff very friendly and just the right amount of attention. Would recommend.

Even as someone who has been eating Ethiopian in DC for 30 years, I have long tolerated the mediocre food, lame service, and disgusting bathrooms at this place because of its location and upscale aspirations. But enough is enough. They no longer serve dishes atop injera as is traditional (yes, there is a tiny disk of their excessively white bread-ified version of the traditional flatbread under there but not enough to soak up the oily sauces). The vegetarian sampler is now served on a third of a plate with each of the items squished together like they were undifferentiated burrito fillings. Servers have to be asked three or four times for something as simple as a fork (how else to scoop up the lentils that spill out of the sambusa, which remains the best thing on the menu). The assumption is that no one who is eating in Georgetown could possibly tolerate any heat so you will get very toned down spice levels by default if you don't think to specify otherwise.

I went to Das for a family celebration and some family members had not had Ethiopian cuisine before, so there was a slight learning curve using the injera bread to eat the succulent meat offerings, but everyone loved the food. The staff were so warm and helpful!

I took my girlfriend there for our 1 year anniversary, and it was a great choice. Great location, Great ambience. Food was amazing, service was amazing. Overall we both had a great experience.

The service was excellent! Seated very quickly and fast turnaround with the servings from appetizers to main course. The entire staff was very attentive and checked in on us. Our main server was gracious by providing guidance and recommendations on the food selections. Overall, very enjoyable and we look forward to dininig there again.
