Traveling from NC, my son, husband and I desired Ethiopian cuisine. We made reservations prior to our Blues Alley event. Our hostess was most welcoming! Really, from the hostess, to the waitstaff to the manager - the entire experience was amazing! I could taste the time and care put into each vegetarian dish. The injera and honey wine were delicious compliments. After enjoying our dinner, we were able to make our event in time to meet our daughter and son.
The food was good but I've eaten at a lot of Ethiopian restaurants and my main complaint was that the food wasn't exactly hot when it arrived. The beef tibs were a bit dry. The lamb was outstanding. And the lentils and collards were good but only lukewarm.
Everything was incredible, from the staff to the appetizers, to the dessert! The meal was the most delicious we've ever tasted. If you go with a group, get different items, as it is family style and you'll get to experience all the different dishes. You will not be disappointed!!
