Awesome cafe in the heart of the NE. This cafe is probably my favorite in the glover park / Tenleytown / cathedral heights area. The students pull espressos out of a La Marzocco, move quickly, and it’s super fair priced (especially for the city).Food is probably the weak point, but they offer pastries, bagels, and yogurts. The food is optimized for students so it’s “grab & go” style. But the location of the cafe is right beside New Mexico Ave, which makes it accessible to non students too (like me!)

They get 6 stars (yes, I said 6-six out of five stars) from me mostly for the good service I received from the staff. Very friendly and approachable. I actually really enjoyed this cute little spot. It's nice campus lounge at a beautiful location. I favored the cookie butter latte (I like it sweet, so if this is you, you'll like this one.) Yes, certain things are under repair which is evidence that it has been a well used and preferred location for many people and more investments should be considered to care for it. I have not been here during the high traffic times between classes, so I cannot speak to that, but I would come back just because of the good experience with those handling front end of the cafe.

I never go because the line is always ungodly long. But if you going during typical class times it’s ok. I got a quiche there that was not good at all and literally cold. This place is super popular but whenever I’ve gone things are just totally disorganized and honestly a little dirty. For some reason they only have one payment system and even that is unbearably slow. Employees were nice though and played good music :). But management should figure some stuff out. Unfortunately I would literally go to any other coffee place on campus because this place does not live up to the hype.

My favorite coffee shop in the world. The Dav, as us American students so affectionately call it, is essential to life at the university. I think the hot matcha tea latte is the best. The selection of teas is exquisite, and the "mush" overnight oats are delicious! I rarely indulge in the pastries here, but they are sugary, tempting, and delicious as well. Thank you, Dav, for all the times you powered me through my studies with a perfect boost of caffeine. I will always be back.

The DAV is alright. I'm a student at AU and it's okay if you're really opposed to giving Starbucks your money. But in a vacuum, their coffee is just okay

The Dav team produces quality coffee drinks. They've recently made changes to get people in and out faster which is appreciated by busy folks!

Nice place

The Dav attempts to be hip when truly it is not. The line is always long and the coffee is not worth what it is being sold for.

Coffee is always on point, staff are always friendly. Yes, sometimes they are busy but only because everyone on campus wants a cup of their amazing coffee! The space is clean and cozy. This is the only place within a pretty wide radius where you can find single-origin Ethiopian coffee. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Keep doing what you're doing!

Don't know what's up with the salty reviews, this place is AMAZING. The coffee is always on point, the staff are super nice, its clean and comfortable. Yes, sometimes they are busy because they are super popular -- for good reason!

The perfect place to stop by if you park inside SIS (or pass by on your way to campus). I usually get one of their pastries or a quiche in the morning - but I know they also serve a variety of caffeinated beverages. There are long lines in the morning when school is in session, but they usually do a good job with keeping it moving.

Wait here is too long in regular school days (and nights) It’s more efficient go to Starbucks at the tunnel. I’ve spent here around 30 min waiting a simple cappuccino. Also there is imposible for them to be consistent with the drinks your order. I found myself rushing to class before stoping here for a drink.

The quality is not consistent. A stuff definitely did my order wrong. Line can be huge, they can be slow as there is only one machine. A big problem is that they don't write your name on the cup, so you have to "stare" at your order as you don't want to take other people's drink or you don't want other people take yours. I like their chai latte (even tho they just use some powder from Amazon, the milk they use is pretty good) that is the only reason I go to there.
