Incredible service, really cute place. We tried a few of the tacos and they were all great, my favorite are the carnitas. We also got two of the passionfruit margaritas which were delicious!! 10/10 would definitely recommend this place, the outdoor seating is lovely and the server was so friendly and welcoming.

D.C. Corazon tiene mi corazón ❤️As a Mexican-American who moved to DC from Texas, it’s been a miserable two year journey of trying to find a “Mexican restaurant” that actually serves authentic Mexican food. I’m happy to have found DC corazon last week, where my partner and I tried their tacos, chicken mole, and carne asada huarache. Today we ordered similar items and added elote into the mix as well as their cheese quesadilla. All I can say is that I’m glad to have a piece of home in DC now. The drinks are also incredible, so make sure you get your serving of both food and drinks when you visit.

This experience echos many of the others given. Julie L was my waitress.. only in name only. The service was painfully slow even though there were only 2 tables, myself of 1 and a table of 3. There was no greeting, no recommendations, very transactional and she didn’t give AF. The margarita was possibly the best thing I had, but the bar was low. Tacos were not it and taste as though they were practicing. As far as water, I asked 4 times and once she finally brought it, it was meekly placed on the table. Not once did she ask how anything was or anything else. Oh, portion size..psh. I’m not saying it has to be huge, but it was very disappointing. Hard pass.

We went here for lunch and the food was terrible. It was so old like it was made two days ago and it wasnt even heated properly.

From the moment I stepped into DC Corazon, I knew I was in for a treat. Nestled in the vibrant Petworth neighborhood, this Mexican restaurant is a true culinary gem. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between cozy and lively, making it an ideal spot for both romantic dinners and fun gatherings with friends. The menu, oh the menu! It's a delightful journey through authentic Mexican flavors. Each dish we tried was a masterpiece, bursting with freshness and authenticity. The tacos are a must-try – they're packed with flavor and the tortillas are clearly homemade. And don't get me started on the nachos. Talk. About. Yum.Service at DC Corazon is top-notch. Especially J.R. and Edgar. The staff are not only friendly but also passionate about their cuisine, eager to share recommendations and insights about the dishes. Their warm and welcoming attitude adds to the overall delightful experience. Music is hype and fits the energy perfectly. 10/10 would recommend, bruh!

Have been here several time, dining in and taking out and it hits every time! The nachos are bomb (with or without meat), and the elote and tacos (al pastor!!) are my favorite. JR was super friendly, and the service was great! Love having this place in our neighborhood, and will def be back!

An authentic and friendly atmosphere awaits, as does a trio of mole’s to enhance your meal.

Elaborate dishes and a nice atmosphere, but the young woman who served us (the only one there) was very unfriendly. She could’ve cared less if customers were present or not.

The service is awful. Every time that I ordered a plate, they said "you won't be able to return it" who order to return a plate??? I saw in the menu to order any kind of protein with the mole sauce, so I soon as I ordered a steak taco with mole sauce the server said I am not able to do so. It is only chicken and beef. To order steak with mole will be an extra charge. My 2 stars are for the steak, I really like the taste.

The ice water was the best part despite the decorations! We were seated at a table that still had crumbs on it from the previous diners. Ordered the nachos: meat was below room temp and the chips were black burnt. I asked for no cilantro on my entree. They ignored that request and dressed my rice & entree with cilantro. I told the waiter. Dish was taken to the back, I *think* they just scraped off the dressing and reheated it. When they brought entree back, it still tasted like cilantro even though there were no cilantro leaves. We have 5 different people serving our table and despite that, we had to ask for water jug refills. Multiple sources of loud music made it hard to hear the servers. The list goes on. Just dont eat here unless you are desperate.

All our dishes were good, and some were outstanding. Good cocktails. Pleasant space and service. We plan to return.

Myself and Black Girl Taco Chronicles took a quick trip to DC Corazon Fonda & Tequileria! OMG ??? everything was fire but the pink mole blew my socks off. We are in Austin and I am itching to get back to DC just to visit this place again.
