When I tell you that’s I’ve been looking for some good authentic bbq, I have! And, I’ve been disappointed up until now. I decided to give DCity Smokehouse a try. I got the smoked wings, ribs, and collards. The meats has a nice REAL smoked flavor, seasoned to perfection, and the collards were on point. I look forward to trying more food items from the menu. I highly recommend!
I went to the restaurant passed by a few times figured I would stop I had ribs and six chicken wings which was very expensive the barbecue ribs did not look barbecue so ask the guy were they on the grill he said yes but it didn't have the smoke flavor to it or the look which I always like which bothered me I thought it was African-American owned but it's not I wasn't treated right when I went in there I waited a long time for the meal to be served and I took it out but when I go back there recommended no one going to this restaurant snack that good it's expensive as I was in there I seen some white folks in there they were getting their meals and being served I waited about 15 minutes before they even came over the survey I would not go back to this restaurant.
If you want to spend a lot and have to fight to get what you order come here.

Decent food for a good price, but it seemed a bit slow on the delivery for slow cooked BBQ and premade sides. It also baffles me when a BBQ place has no vinegar for dipping.

Great place to get some bbq. It’s tasty and the atmosphere is cool. Service is great. Had the brisket, the mac and brussel sprouts and they did not disappoint. Would come back.

I picked up some food to go from DC Smokehouse. Hadn’t eaten there since shortly after they first opened.
My wife got the brisket sandwich which was edible if covered in barbecue sauce.
I got an individual platter with brisket, beef tips, potato salad and collards.
The brisket was dry and fairly flavorless. The rib tips were as hard as a hockey puck and incredibly overcooked. The collards were overcooked and kind of slimy. The potato salad was fine, though.
And they charged me for a drink I didn’t receive. All in all, a waste of money.

It’s a bit on the expensive side but the food is amazing. I took my friend from Houston here and he said he thought we went to Texas when he had the brisket

I ordered food from them via Uber Eats last night. The food was very tasty but must have spoiled because it kept me up all night sick. :(

Absolute gem. We will absolutely add to our every time in DC list. The service is excellent. The food, I doing know how, is even better. Smoked turkey Sandwich, Mac n cheese, grits, meat platter… all with nothing but high regard.

Everything has a sweet overtone (greens, chilli) which I don’t prefer. I put the wings in the oven an additional hour for more tenderness.

Perfect location for a quick meal. I ordered the big snoop, which was full of flavor. The sausage itself was a bit tough. They have plenty of TVs, which is perfect for a night of watching sports.
