We have dinner here before and had an amazing experience. Came back and were left bewildered. The only thing I can think of is- don't dine here close to closing. All of the food came out rushed, cold??? And incomplete. My lamb was cooked but almost room temp and very tough even though I asked for it to be cooked medium. My fiancés lamb was incredibly fatty. The crudo didn't even seem like the same thing we ordered last time and when we asked about - we were told that they change it every six months. Just left bewildered. $300 for complimentary bread is a bit steep. Service was good enough.
Thank you so much Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse for hosting my Fine Dining Group tonight. The food and drinks was amazing but the service was just ok. I was expecting better service for an experience such as an High End Restaurant in DC. Please improve the service.
I can't even begin to explain how disappointed I am in my experience with this restaurant. I made my reservation in advance and traveled from out of state to celebrate my wife's birthday. We arrived at the restaurant on time and were greeted by the hostess, who was incredibly nice. She brought us upstairs to our seat, and after we sat down, was when everything took a turn for the worse. We began to question why the restaurant was not busy on a Friday evening, (it was basically empty) and we proceeded to observe a waiter who seemed very overwhelmed. After about 10 minutes of sitting without being greeted by anyone, we noticed that the hostess came upstairs and asked the same waiter if he was ok. He proceeded to say “ I am so behind right now”. She asked him if he needed anything and in what seemed like a very flustered and dismissive way, he proceeded to say “no! I'm fine”, and walked away from her. It was in that moment where my wife and I started to question if we made the right decision to come to this restaurant. After another 10 minutes, I made the executive decision to look up another restaurant in the area to see if they had reservations. My wife and I waited 30 minutes without being greeted or even offered glasses of water. Staff members continued to walk by us like the table was empty. We ultimately got up and walked out of the restaurant. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. I am very disappointed and also embarrassed that I took the time to make a reservation with this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday and having this happen has left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I surely will not be returning. Zero stars!
For the money, I've expected much better service and food. We had reservations and were seated immediately. The drinks were average. The wait time for the food was very long and without explanation. My soup arrived to the table at room temperature. My entree arrived 45 minutes after we ordered and the restaurant didn't appear full. I've had better tasting food for half the price.
My son and I had an outstanding meal there and he is insisting that we come back again before we leave DC in late July. Nice job. Super food cooked just right, good service, and enjoyable atmosphere
Great service delicious food great Steakhouse to to celebrate any birthday on anniversaries
I took my family to dinner last night for Father's Day. It was an incredible experience! The food was amazing, the service was impeccable, the maître D and the server were spectacular, Juan and Jack really took care of us! We will be back soon and often, and we will highly recommend to all of our friends! Congratulations!
The whole experience was outstanding! The food to die for, seriously the best steak I've ever had. The service was first class, Chad was our server and he was personable and knowledgeable. The whole experience was perfect to celebrate my birthday.
Service was uneven. Salad served with main course and sides. Had to wait for service even though it wasn't busy.
It was my husband 40th birthday, I placed it in the reservation and mentioned it to my server. However we weren't asked if we like desert or offered a dessert for the celebratory moment.
Restaurantji Recommends
Group of 5 - 2 steaks over cooked, 1 re-fired and re-served undercooked. Overall lack of seasoning, slow service and loud. Not what I would expect from a double eagle. Would not eat there again
Excellent food. You'll see a lot of DC personalities while your dining! Of course it's very pricey! I recommend going!
I made a reservation to this Del Frisco's location for my girlfriend's birthday. We were immediately greeted and seated at a table near the window. The tables were nicely spread out which was nice because it didn't feel too tight and close to other patrons. Danielle was our server and she was very attentive. She helped me decide on my entree and it was a great choice. We started out with the broiled oysters. The oysters were smaller than I liked, but they were delicious. I decided on the Chilean sea bass with the crab fried rice and my girlfriend decided on the porterhouse. We shared the lobster mac & cheese and the creamed spinach as sides. We ordered Hennessy sidecars to enjoy with our dinner. The cocktails were made just right. To end our dinner, Danielle treated my girlfriend to a slice of cheesecake which was delicious. All the staff we encountered were friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Our food came out in a timely manner and we didnt feel rushed. I would rate this location a 10/10.
The hostess, who appeared to be Hispanic, was noticeably warm and polite toward white guests she was assisting. However, her demeanor shifted dramatically when interacting with me, suddenly unwelcoming and and visibly unpleasant. The contrast in treatment was blatant and disappointing. Additionally, although I was carded by the server, my colleague, seated at another table and visibly younger, was not asked for ID. The only noticeable difference, they were white. This pattern of seemingly biased behavior raises serious concerns about how guests are treated at this establishment. I hope the management takes a hard look at the conduct of their staff and addresses these issues promptly.
I arrived and was seated, 20 minutes passed and no one greeted me, brought water or asked for my drink order. Finally, I flagged the host and he acted as if I was bothering him, he offered to get me a drink and asked if I would like an appetizer. I gave him my order, 10 more minutes passed and a server finally appeared. I explained I had given the host my drink and appetizer order he said he would find them. 10 minutes later appetizer arrived, no water, no drink, no server. I got up approached the host stand and explained it was going on 45 minutes and I had no water or drink and if it weren't for the expeditor I would have no appetizer. They were not busy at all maybe 5 other tables on the first floor. Food was about par for Del Frisco's. After 2 hours, I finished my meal minus dessert, I walked around the corner for an affogato instead of waiting any longer. Not sure what the issue was, but very disappointed in this location.
