I've known about this place for years. They have been there for many years, so it's like a mom and pop type of café. I used to work not far from it and my boss used to order their reuben sandwiches for the entire office back in the day on Fridays. Now, I no longer work in DC, but I make it a habit of going there just to get their Reuben sandwiches. They use kosher meat so the meat is delicious. I have tried other reuben sandwiches at other places and there is no match to the reuben sandwiches here. I no longer eat them anywhere else anymore because whenever I do, I'm always disappointed. So if you're looking for a fantastic amazing reuben sandwich this is the place to go. I have never ordered anything else on the menu when I go there. One day maybe I'll try their fish sandwiches because I heard they are good too. So I give them a 5 out of 5 stars.

The establishment looks a little raunchy but overall the food is like a 7/10. I’ve had their fish sandwich. It was decent. I will say they give you your money’s worth. They only accept cash which I don’t always carry. I also tried their home fries. I didn’t like them they were mushy/ soggy. I like my home fries to be a little crispy.

I have never ever taste a fish sandwich this good in my life. It tastes better than any high end restaurant. The service was excellent, the waitress was so polite and friendly. I’ve been there several times over the years and I always order the same thing the fish sandwich. As I observed the people that patronize the restaurant. Some ordered takeout and some ate inside. Everything thing I had seen on others plates from the breakfast foods and well stacked deli sandwiches looked good. The restaurant is very cozy and family friendly. I highly recommend it, if you’re ever in the area. 👍🏼👍🏼 and ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a nice, small, and cozy place for neighborhood folks to eat good food and shoot the breeze with one another. Everybody joins in on the conversations, especially sports, and has a good time!

Parking: You wouldn't know that this is a restaurant from the outside, but it's well worth the food and the prices are reasonable.

Wheelchair accessibility: I'm not sure about wheel chairs bcuz it is a small place with limited seating. Most people order their food and go.

Wowowowowowowowowo! Best, most massive Rueben ive had so far in DC. Ive had Harvey's and Union Market. I thought this was better and the price was definitely better. I got a MASSIVE Rueben with a huge order of fries for less than a Harvey's sandwich. I will be back. Every item on menu sounds delicious! The restaurant is a step back into DC when it was grand. People conversing from 1 table to another who have probably been going there for what feels like decades! I need to go on a diet soon. Just trying this place for first time will not bode well for that!

If you’re looking for an amazing, tender Ruben or hot pastrami, head over to Deli City. It melts in your mouth. Coke slaw was solid too.

I tried both the pastrami and the corned beef on rye with mustard. The corned beef is made in house and the pastrami is not, which is normal enough for a Jewish style deli. The corned beef was very good and the pastrami was I guess ok. Go with the corned beef. The pastrami was too lean and not that tender. The soup of the day which was a white bean soup was pretty good. Two sandwiches and a cup of soup with tax and tip was about $40. That was fine. This is definitely a hole in the wall dive and it is cash only and only open during the week during the day. Don't be surprised if the customers banter each other or the staff or if somebody is selling sheet sets there.
