I've known about this place for years. They have been there for many years, so it's like a mom and pop type of café. I used to work not far from it and my boss used to order their reuben sandwiches for the entire office back in the day on Fridays. Now, I no longer work in DC, but I make it a habit of going there just to get their Reuben sandwiches. They use kosher meat so the meat is delicious. I have tried other reuben sandwiches at other places and there is no match...
The establishment looks a little raunchy but overall the food is like a 7/10. I’ve had their fish sandwich. It was decent. I will say they give you your money’s worth. They only accept cash which I don’t always carry. I also tried their home fries. I didn’t like them they were mushy/ soggy. I like my home fries to be a little crispy.
I have never ever taste a fish sandwich this good in my life. It tastes better than any high end restaurant. The service was excellent, the waitress was so polite and friendly. I’ve been there several times over the years and I always order the same thing the fish sandwich. As I observed the people that patronize the restaurant. Some ordered takeout and some ate inside.
