Amazing little spot that has been there for 49 yrs. The Best Ruben I've ever had! Fish was so tender and tasty with out a lot of batter. Coleslaw was delicious and the cornbread was sweet and moist. Chicken and rice soup had big chunks of chicken and great flavor. Fries were crispy. Lots of food for very reasonable prices. Will be back anytime we're in the area!
I've known about this place for years. They have been there for many years, so it's like a mom and pop type of café. I used to work not far from it and my boss used to order their reuben sandwiches for the entire office back in the day on Fridays. Now, I no longer work in DC, but I make it a habit of going there just to get their Reuben sandwiches. They use kosher meat so the meat is delicious. I have tried other reuben sandwiches at other places and there is no match...
