great after some initial hiccups. we cam here due to the proximity of the Kennedy Center after a great show (Kinky Boots). The Korean Pork Chop was a little tough but the flavor was great, Kimchi was seasoned great but way too small a portion, Shrimp and Grits was well seasoned with WAY too much ham, which had a tendency to overpower the great seasonings, Duck was perfectly flavored and cooked just right and the last of our party chose the Sea Trout (Daily Special) which was a beautiful butterfly filet well seasoned and accompanied by some non descript sides.

Late review: I came for DC restaurant week. The skirt steak was good. Had to pay extra on top of the normal restaurant week price. The soups were good. I would come here just for the savory butternut squash bisque! Highly recommend the soup. I'll be back for the soup!

Came here for happy hour and they had a nice selection of drinks! $6 cocktails, $6 house wines, and $6 draft beers, so pretty good deals. Good selection of shareable appetizers also. Unfortunately, the food was very underwhelming. I ordered the bbq chicken spring rolls and mini pulled pork hand pies and they were not good. They tasted the same, when one should have been chicken and one should have been pork. The bbq chicken spring rolls had no bbq flavor to it at all. And the pulled pork hand pies tasted just like the spring rolls, I am convinced they used the same protein for both appetizers. The drinks were fine. Service was so slow. Server barely checked up on us and was not efficient with taking our drink and food orders. If it was super busy, I wouldn't mind it but the bar area was pretty slow at the time. Place is clean and aesthetic is nice. But probably won't be my go to happy hour spot.

Their happy hour is amazing. $6 drinks, great bar menu that you can eat from. Personally I love the calamari, lobster and crab nachos, and Spring rolls! But get there early. It gets very busy for happy hour. Reservations needed for table or you'll never get one

They have Golden Monkey on tap which is my favorite. The staff is nice but don't really go out of their way. The food is usually very good, coming from a repeat customer. I love their specials, like lobster roll Mondays. And their salmon salad with pimento cheese is scrumptious.

I have eaten here several times because of the convenience. I find myself stopping in after work at least once a week. The food is good but not five stars. Several of their menu items are very good such as the fresh grilled fish but other items such as flatbreads are not a first choice. I love their beer selection. Dark brown Ale and calamari are a staple worth hanging at the bar for. I should also say that the bartenders provide great service. This is a good American Fair restaurant that is fun to visit and hang out at the bar. If you are in Foggy Bottom it is a good choice.

Food: let start with the pretzel bread with mustard butter. It was good. Very unique favor, the bread was so soft. I order shrimp and grit, it was pretty good. A+ for chef who cook the shrimp cause they cook it just right. Not overcook or undercooked, which rarely fine a restaurant can do that. The grit was delicious I cant stop eating it. We also have oyster raw and fries, it pretty decent. I love the sauce that give us. The oyster does kinda small. Even the fries oyster was small, mostly I eat the batter (flour). We got an order of crab cake as well and it literally fill with crab meat not like other place just little meat and mostly flour. One of my family dish has scallops in it. It was good as well. Juicy and cook just right. Service: it alright. He refill our water which good but keep forget to give us our check. We ask for refill water from other server and they never bring it. We have to wait till he come near to ask. I just don't seem to like the service I got that day.

Came here for Valentines Day and loved the ambiance! It seemed casual formal (maybe because of the holiday) but gave off really intimate vibes. The wait staff was really attentive and our table was ready when we arrived. The food itself was 4/5. It was good but not necessarily excellent. I had the crab cakes and fries, and one definitely would've been filling. The pretzel bread was also good, but note that is NOT included. It was offered to us and we accepted not knowing it was an extra charge. No biggie, just keep that in mind. Even consider what type of water you get, might cost you! After dinner we slid over to the bar and had a great time until closing. It was pretty packed, but had a less intimate vibe and more social. Does that make sense? The drinks were all good though!

The food was phenomenal and service was very quick although slightly strange. They kept taking away and replacing silverware seemingly at random. Sometimes I'd have 2 forks, sometimes I'd have 1 fork and 1 knife. Then they'd come and take a clean fork and replace it with a knife. I'm pretty sure they were trying to make sure we had the right utensils for the dish we were about to have but it seemed very random.

Food was great - the catch of the day and pig and fig flat bread. Service was terrible, hello, how was everything, can I get you anything else. No water refiles and when asked for check, it took 10 min and a second request.

My boyfriend chose this place for our Valentine's Day dinner and I am soo glad that he did! The food was amazing! We had the white mussels for an appetizer and both had shrimp and grits as our entree. The mussels we delicious! The sauce was flavorful and the tomatoes really helped pull everything together. The shrimp and grits were also delicious. The cream sauce on shrimp was really great and the portion size was just enough. I would definitely recommend coming here and will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.
