This is a cute little place with unique gelato flavors. We waited on a short line about 5 minutes. The staff is big and extremely agile. I was able to sample some flavors before deciding on hazelnut crackle and bananas foster. You can have two flavors in one cup. This is some of the best gelato I've had to be honest. It's just very expensive. My tiny maybe 6 ounce cup was almost $9. It's not something I would eat often at that price but a nice occasional treat.

Loved this spot! Great for after a meal. We are dairy free and ordered the sorbetta- the peach was amazing! Husband got regular sorbet and the hazelnut was his fav. Worth the $$$!

I have visited this place on several occasions when I go to Washington DC, and I find it to be an ideal location to observe people walking by while sitting or standing near the window. The seating arrangement inside is limited, but it is cozy. They offer a variety of creative gelato and sorbet options, coffee and teas, and other drinks, but when it comes to baked goods, the options are quite limited. The service is good, and overall, I think it's an excellent place to enjoy a cafe latte and green tea latte.

Not real Gelato, small portions, and overpriced. Stay away!

The interior of this Dolcezza was very cute and gave off homey retro vibes with a subtle modern twist. I ordered an iced dulce de leche latte, and it was too milky for my liking. I couldn't really taste any of the espresso notes for the first couple of sips, and the dulce de leche flavor was also quite faint. The dark chocolate gelato was decadent, and the dulce de leche gelato was simply alright. Overall, I wouldn't come here for the coffee (this was my second try), but would stop by for their gelato!

Reminds me of one of my favorite ice cream shops Salt & Straw but with gelatto. The concept, layout, variety of flavors are all very similar. You can sample a bunch before buying. All the flavors were all spot on. I had gianduja (chocolate hazelnut) and hazelnut crackle. Seemed like too similar but worked perfectly for me. They were different enough that it seemed like two very distinct flavors. If you're looking for something less sweet, a bit tart, or less creamy, try the sorbets. I tried a bunch of my kids sorbets. Blood orange, grapefruit, clementine, goldrush apple. They were all excellent.

The gelato itself was incredible and super flavorful but the service left a bad taste. I heard the employee who didn’t serve me but was standing close by said “I couldn’t imagine coming here and waiting this line of a Saturday night”. Given this being a touristy spot I thought it would be normal for it to be busy but the fact that the employees are shaming their customers for spending their time here? Kind of odd to me.

Got a Dulce de leche latte($7) and it was by far the best latte I ever had. Just mildly sweet and creamy. Barista were nice and quick making it. The latte art was very aesthetically pleasing. Parking is quite challenging in this area, but if you can make it I highly recommend it! Drink: 9.5 Staff/service: 7.0 Value: 6.5 Overall: 8.2/10

Amazing coffee and possibly the best Gelato I've ever had. It is often crowded, but service is quick and always fresh.

The cappuccino here was ok. It felt a bit watered-down, but it's honestly nothing too different from the other Dolcezzas that I have been too. However, the gelato here is pretty good. It could be better as it did not have too much of a creamy texture, and felt a little powdery, but the taste was there. The service was ok too, but seemed a bit impatient. For gelato, I would probably recommend something with a little bit of coffee flavor.
