“Very disrespectful staff. I waited in line, while someone was at the register chatting with the staff and eating the flan (dessert) that they purchased. After the individual left, and I was the next customer, the staff member served others who were around me and did not serve me as the customer next in line. This has happened several times in the past and I boycotted the establishment. Today, six months later, I returned and the same incident occurred. I am an individual with disability and this establishment does not service customers without bias and their facility does not meet ADA guidelines. It is my hope that the manager Neishka and the assistant Rama address these concerns so that individuals of all nationalities and abilities are served with dignity and respect.“

“Five Stars for El Maestro del Sazón – A Taste of the Dominican Republic in the Heart of Silver Spring!Nestled in the bustling streets of Silver Spring, El Maestro del Sazón is a hidden gem that serves up some of the most authentic and delicious Dominican cuisine you'll find outside of Santo Domingo. From the moment you step up to the window, you're greeted with warm smiles and the enticing aromas of Caribbean spices that promise an unforgettable culinary journey. The menu, though concise, is a powerhouse of flavors. The star of the show is undoubtedly the "Pernil" – a perfectly roasted pork that falls apart at the touch of a fork, marinated in a traditional blend of herbs and spices that seep through every bite. It's served with a side of "Arroz con Gandules" (rice with pigeon peas), which is flavorful, fluffy, and cooked to perfection, pairing wonderfully with the rich, savory pork. Not to be overlooked, the "Pollo Guisado" (braised chicken) is another standout dish. The chicken is tender and bathed in a beautifully seasoned stew, with bell peppers and onions that add a touch of sweetness and a robust depth of flavor. Pair it with their "Tostones" (twice-fried plantain slices), which are crispy on the outside with a soft, savory inside, and you have a meal that truly delights the palate. An essential try is the "Chicharrones," deep-fried pork rinds that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. This dish epitomizes the savory goodness of Dominican street food, offering a crunchy, satisfying texture that pairs perfectly with a squeeze of fresh lime.El Maestro del Sazón is more than just a food truck; it's a vibrant celebration of Dominican culture and cuisine. The attention to detail in every dish, the use of authentic ingredients, and the consistent quality make this a must-visit spot in Silver Spring. Whether you're a homesick Dominican longing for a taste of home or a curious foodie looking to explore new cuisines, El Maestro del Sazón will not disappoint.Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the experience is simply joyful. This food truck is a shining example of how traditional flavors can be both preserved and celebrated in every meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a culinary adventure right in the heart of Silver Spring!“

“La comida está deliciosa. El servicio muy amable, ah y recomiendo el mofongo de chicharrón, el pollo guisado, todo servido con una ensalada deliciosa. Y un jugo de chinola con hielo muy refrescante. Todo con buena música de fondo merengue y bachata! Felicitaciones y seguro que volveremos con amigos y familia! Quisqueya si que es bella!“

“My family wanted to go to a Dominican Restaurant. It was a Sunday afternoon so there was no other clients. My family and I were promptly seated only after we managed to catch the attention of one of the waiters. I got the mofongo with mixed meat (Chicharron & Longaniza). It was well seasoned. The Passion Fruit Juice was also good. The place was clean. The only reason I gave it 4 starts was because the waitress did forget one of our orders so we had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes.“

“This place is soooo good! The first time I went I went back the next day! The nachos are AMAZING I’m pretty sure they cooked them fresh because I’ve never had tortilla chips that fresh and delicious. The empanadas were perfectly crispy and delicious. I’m leaving this review because I’m trying to decide what to order next. The only thing I would change is training for the young man at the cash register. He is a kid so I don’t expect him to get it 100% correct but I think some training on customer service (greeting customers, speaking loudly, substitution of items) would help. I highly recommend this place!“
