This place has flat out the best tasting fried chicken in town. The crispness of the breadding and the delicious Ethiopian butter with its spices, is a magnificent Ethiopian fusion combo. While I wish there would be one of these in Hollywood, California where I live, I'm always making it a point to come here while being in D.C.

I highly recommend this place. Do not miss out on this delicacy in town.

Take out only establishment and they make it known no eating your food in the place. It's very small! There's 3 restaurants sharing a spot, not an issue. You order your food on a tablet. Everyone seemed to be in the back cooking so not much help in the front if you have questions in regards to ordering. You have to get someones attention. We tried the greens, Mac and cheese, mix chicken, and all white chicken. I got the burna boy sauce on my chicken. The sauce was actually not that spicy to me, but it was good. The chicken was fried to perfection but without the skin with the sauce on it the chicken itself is not flavorful. I'm quite aware this is Ethiopian inspired food and I'm definitely not a fan of whatever herbs/seasoning they put in the mac and cheese. It doesn't look edible and the taste was the worse. Amazingly, the greens were seasoned well and edible. They weren't bitter for collards.

Can’t say much about this place, food is lacking flavor. This place came highly recommended and I was pretty unimpressed. Chicken was oily and was not spicy at all, Mac and cheese was good but nothing special. Spent 20$ and I didn’t like my meal unfortunately.

The chicken as crispy and flavorful and I liked the Mac and cheese but I was not in love with the greens. The service seemed a bit slow but I overall a decent experience.

This is some of the best fried chicken (if not the best) in all of the DMV and it’s affordably priced compared to others in DC! Seriously, the Ethiopian spice blend on the chicken is phenomenal and unique! The chef who came up with this recipe is a genius and an artist! I order from here all the time because they’re tastier and cheaper than other fried chicken options and friends I’ve told about them and have tried it agree. The Mac and cheese and collard greens are delicious too and also have unique spices.

They are carry-out/food app delivery ONLY. Going to their place in person, part of the reason they are probably more affordable is because they don’t do sit down experience.

To the owner of this place, you’re legitimately one of my favorite places in all of DC and I’m happy you started a business here!

This has to be some of the BEST fried chicken I’ve had in DC. I ordered the fried Doro plate with BERBERE option… talk about flavor!

Love their vegan options! Just a heads up it’s a ghost kitchen/takeaway spot, so there’s nowhere to eat on site

Soul food is an BLACK American staple and no owner of this place is from the US or black American….so we’re just classifying international food as soul food now? Lol

I got 2 two piece lunch specials, with fried chicken, and greens for one. The other fried chicken with doro fries. Everything was delicious! The fried chicken had a great crunch and very moist. The greens were seasoned really well with smoked turkey and Ethiopian spices. The doro fries were crispy and that doro seasoning is finger licking good! My only issue was the customer service. Everyone was in the back working and it took forever for them to come to answer questions. It's a ghost kitchen so there is no inside seating! I'll be back asap+

I had to try to blend of Ethiopian and soul food. It didn't disappoint. But you have to carry out. Hopefully, that changes in the future if it expands.

Some of the most incredible food that I've eaten in the entire DMV area! Unique twist on soul food that doesn't miss on any level.
