good cheap friendly eats.

We picked up a takeout lunch here before going hiking at Rock Creek. The food was incredibly high quality, flavorful, and healthy. We got the fried plantains, beef, kale, and beets bowl, and also the breakfast burrito especial. Also very reasonably priced, we paid $18 total. Would highly recommend getting lunch here if you're in the area!

The best coffee, at least within half a mile and thats just fine. The eats are always fresh and invariably delicious.

A solid local institution! It has some quirks, but that's both a direct adaptation to its clientele and part of the charm. Plus, who can say no to dollar coffee?

Speed of service is horrendous on a Sunday morning. Been waiting 30+ minutes for a smoothie and bagel. Other notable items: dirty tables, filthy restrooms, and nasty furniture...don't recommend this place.

A coffee shop the 21st century needs: an affordable menu, organic and homemade food, and laid back vibes. This place is quickly becoming my favorite place to grab coffee & a bite with a fiend.

Such a cute cafe and very reasonably priced too! The atmosphere gives a very local and family owned business vibe. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating and everyone was so friendly. You order at the front and your food is brought to your table when it’s ready.I got the breakfast burrito especial and a berries banana smoothie. For under $10 my burrito was large and made fresh. It had plantains, kale, lentils and jalapeños with a delicious sauce on top. So good and very unique. My smoothie was delicious as well and so filling.Overall I love this spot and definitely want to come back!

Great food at very reasonable prices. The kale, bean and brown rice burrito was superb. Great for those who eat vegan. They also make their own Muffins. Alex, the proprietor, is super.Vegetarian options: Vegan too, with various options or alternatives. All made with TLC.

Solid 4 stars. Cute interior. Menu in Spanish and English. Relatively fast service. Complimentary water. Decent food and portions. The table could've been a little cleaner as there were bugs flying around... but other than that an enjoyable spot for brunch. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it was quite confusing how they described it vs what was on the menu. I just gave them full control to make me a mystery burrito as long as it had ground beef as I was not in the mindset to cross reference the menu and what they were saying. It was really good-- they gave me onions, tomatoes, spinach, and I think lettuce and salsa? Again it was a mystery burrito LOL If I'm in the area I would definitely try again! Would recommend for a cute brunch spot but keep in mind the lack of outdoor seating and few large seating inside too.
