My family ate at this restaurant and the food was good. The variety of food for the area is poor BUT it works for the theme they are going for. We ordered bread pudding and it was the wrong consistency. It was a flan consistency or an overly wet French toast. There is mixed crowd of couples, families, and ppl getting off work which makes the conversations around you interesting.

This is some of the best food I have gotten in quite some time. The macaroni and cheese is great. The brisket was fantastic. The ribs are good. Everything is just good. You guys are doing a great job.

Been here twice, and it is a great spot for watching a game and eating some great food. The service is good, and the food comes out fairly fast. They also have a great bourbon selection which is a plus for my boyfriend. Both times I've visited, I've ordered the smoked chicken wings, which are phenomenal. They do a BBQ dry rub on the wings and they serve it with Alabama white sauce on the side for dipping. To be honest, the wings have enough flavor, so the sauce is not needed, but I know there are some who love wet wings, so the sauce is there should you need it. The Alabama white sauce is delicious and a great dip to use for your fries as well. I also ordered the corn muffins that come with rosemary molasses butter, and they were delicious. The perfect blend of sweet and savory. Overall, its a great spot and they have earned a frequent diner on my end!

I was craving Ribs So bad and decided to order from Due South on Door Dash, I am a Chef by Profession and I can't express how Disappointed I was with my Meal. The Greens were undercooked and tasted like straight vinegar, the potato salad was horrible and the potatoes were undercooked and the Ribs were skimpy with no meat on them and they were cooked too hard.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't convincing.
Cold, old meat.
Side dishes were delicious.
Service and ambience are also good.
For the price the food must be better.

Love Due South! The service is great, the country vibe is a lot of fun and very comforting and the food is fantastic! It tastes like authentic Southern cuisine, which considering DC's location you'd think would be easier to find. Definitely recommend!

A wonderful experience and amazing food! We arrived on a particularly busy evening on Labor Day weekend and Mike and Maggie were both extremely gracious and patient, despite the busy pressure of the restaurant. Our drinks were fantastic and the food was amazing! We ordered both the brisket and the pulled pork. We loved the ambiance inside and the outdoor patio was also super cute. They had a wide selection of cocktails, whiskeys and draft beers. A big thank you to all the helpful staff this evening and we will be back soon for more Carolina Pulled Pork! It was like a little slice of home for me!

Very bland food. I’m from the south and this is a commercialized mimicry of soul food. Wouldn’t have been as an extreme let down if it wasn’t also so expensive. For that price, the abomination they called Ribs and just plain odd grits, it felt like a scham. At second look, it seems like the food fits the palates of the White folk but not the Browns in the area

Would have enjoyed this place, had the server not fraudulently added a tip onto my bill that I did not give, it was already 38% and they got greedy. So not acceptable.

The fried green tomatoes are the best I’ve ever had. The fried catfish was light, yet filling, and the shrimp and grits were hearty with good flavor.

Our waiter (Matt I believe) was great, 10/10.
The restaurant itself offers bottomless, but it’s MANDATORY for pitchers be to be made with orange juice. We tried to ask for a cranberry pitchers, but it wasn’t allowed. I think that only offering premade orange juice pitchers allows for less profit. Not everyone wants orange juice + some are allergic to citrus fruits. Very disappointing.
The hot fried chicken and biscuit was really good, 8/10. Potatoes were bland, eggs were wayyy overcooks. Supposed to be runny and they weren’t running anywhere.
