Service was pretty great, very nice staff. However it smelled like a cheap perfume store and way over priced. They charge extra for fries with a burger, and a kids meal hamburger is somehow the same price of a full size cheeseburger. Although I must say, the burger was very good.

Very expensive for mediocre food. Service was nice, but it’s too much money for very little and not the best food.

Food was pricey with extremely small portions. Chicken tenders had little flavor and what it did have tasted terrible. Service was beyond slow. Didn't even offer customization on burgers. Not worth stopping no matter how hungry you are.

Laid back place with great burgers, beers, and drinks. I would have rated it higher but the fish for my fish and chips was overcooked.
Came for the Bamboo Bar pop up! It wasn’t really a pop up but more of a limited time bar menu and bamboo wall coverings. Fish for the Fish and Chips were really small but good.

This place should spend less time focusing on the thrift store panda theme and more time on their food and service quality. It took forever to get seated even if there were open tables and the food was mediocre at best. They ask how you'd like your burger cooked just for fun, apparently because they all come well done. Don't waste your time coming here unless you want to buy a cute panda cup to go. Of note the bus staff was on point. Tables were cleaned quickly and worked hard.

Staff was great. Atmosphere was kitschy and cheap. Drinks were good but I suspect mainly syrup. Burger and fish were both dry. Fish and Chips did not even attempt to resemble the real thing. Sauce on the burger and cheese were both good

The food is delicious and the service is good but the overwhelming smell of cleaning products ruins the meal.

Stopped in tonight quickly after the zoo and before the light show. The staff is either shockingly rude as in the hostess or just completely apathetic. But the hostess took the prize for the absolute worst. Food was fine, absolutely nothing special or anything to get excited about. How they win awards I can’t understand. My bun was twice the size of my burger.

From Duke's Grocery is a small restaurant/bar across from the Smithsonian Zoo. There's a bar and several tables for locals and tourists alike. They are famous for their burger, but don't sleep on the cocktails. They sometimes do fun pop ups with very creative cocktails. For example, they have a panda-themed popup indefinitely in honor of the Zoo's Great Panda exhibit opening.

Restaurantji Recommends
Easy spot for a drink and a quick meal after the zoo.
Plenty of kids options. Pricey but the portions are huge. So maybe sharesies?
Cubano was okay. BLT was better, and would recommend.
Quinoa salad with Tuna was a 10!!
Fantastic French fries.
Great cocktail menu. But just had a beer.
Very friendly staff and service.
Pictured kids toasty and fries. Also pictured the cubano.
Dietary restrictions: Call outs on the menu.
Kid-friendliness: Perfect for after the zoo.

The food of this place is good, I’d recommend eating it instead of takeout. The quality wasn’t quite as good for takeout, and the bacon in the BLT was a bit undercooked
