Ebenezer's is by my office and I love the coffee, but I've pretty much stopped going simply because they coffee cups themselves are absolutely awful. Every single time I order a drip coffee I feel like half of it drips on to my hand from the lid before I even get back to my office a block away. If the business is reading this, please invest in better a better cup/lid combo. I don't want to keep staining my shirt cuffs with your super tasty coffee.
Amazing coffee, so cute, & great service

Pretty nice place and incredible atmosphere, but definitely an overpriced coffee place. Still real nice, just wouldn't personally want to spend $7 again for a coffee

Every time I come to Washington DC I always make sure to stop here at this coffee shop. They have amazing espresso and coffee drinks. Today I had an iced Americano and also this little pastry treat with almonds on it. That was delicious. I think this is one of the best coffee shops in the whole area.

Ordered iced coffee with mocha. Its great but one advice is if you have a sweet tooth then pls ask them to add sugar because it isn't sweet enough

The iced coffee tasted horrible and I asked for almond milk and they gave me whole milk (I'm lactose intolerant) but the service was fine

The staff and atmosphere are fantastic, BUT I saw on the wall just outside the bathrooms that their business license expired in June of 2025 ... it is September. Is this allowed??
I have been a regular for a few years, I am a Christian who goes out of my way to support Christian business, however, over the last 6 months they've been continually out of very normal requests. This is not on the staff at all, but on management. How is a coffee shop out of coffee, honey, cold brew, oat milk, chai, etc - all at the same time?
I cannot say enough good things about the staff, but after the continual shortages and the business license, I'm not I can continue to overlook.

Most delicious pistachio pastry! It was so balanced. Not too sweet. And perfect texture. Flaky and yummy.
Very cute shop and easy to find!

Visited on August 30, 2025 and had a really poor experience. My coffee cup was barely 1/4 full, so I asked for a small cup of milk. The staff ignored me for a while and only acknowledged me because I didn’t move away from the counter. When he finally responded, he looked annoyed.
On top of that, he started slamming chairs and trash cans right behind me, and it was still 20 minutes before closing. For someone in a customer-facing role, that kind of service is unacceptable. Courtesy and basic professionalism shouldn’t disappear just because it’s near closing time.
With so many better coffee shops around, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

After reading Mark Batterson’s book In A Pit With A Lion On A Snowy Day, Ebenezer’s became a must-see on our agenda while visiting Washington DC. Mark, I’m chasing lions!!!
Insanely good iced latte.
