We made second visit after one last year. I don’t think they get many visitors outside the neighborhood, which is a shame bc the food is amazing and the service is so warm and welcoming. The older woman and younger man who served us is were happy to explain everything and chat.
They are willing to organize the food however you want (individual or family style). My daughter brought in a big Tupperware and they filled it with shira. $60 for 5 plus carry out shira and injera.
Cannot recommend it enough.

Had an amazing Eritrean breakfast with a friend! Eden, the owner, was so kind and made my birthday feel special. We had Kitcha Fitfit with Selsi, and it was very flavorful!
Plus, the Eritrean art on the walls made the vibe even better. 10/10 experience!

I stopped in briefly for a to-go veggie platter, which was an excellent choice. The collard greens and lentils were incredibly tender and flavorful! Not only that, I absolutely got my money’s worth because the portions were quite generous. Little neighborhood spots like Eden’s Kitchen deserve so much more love!
If you do decide to stop by, you’ll find parking around the backside of the restaurant or on a nearby street.

Stopped by here for work business, and the owner was so nice to me. It was a hot day and she let me come back later to simply rest and get away from the heat, and we made good conversation.
A sincere owner is a sign of even more sincere food, since you know it is made with love. This will probably become a favorite spot simply due to her hospitality, and that’s how you create repeat customers.

Went for lunch after visiting the nearby Costco and looking online for restaurants in the area. The outside front of the restaurant is cute, but the sign isn't the easiest to see. Fortunately, the map app showed me where I was going. There weren't any parking spots on the street in front because they were almost all filled by bright red taxi cabs, which looked like they were waiting to be repaired in a nearby body/mechanic shop. Fortunately, I found a street spot around the corner on the side street (when I got into the restaurant, I was able to see that they had an outdoor dining area behind a fence on the street and at the back of the restaurant was a parking lot that can be accessed by an alley off the side street on which I parked).
There were only 4-5 patrons in the restaurant when I arrived. You order at the counter/bar area and then sit at a table while your meal is prepared. No one was at the bar when I first stepped in, so after a minute of waiting, I rang the small bell sitting on the bar. A woman immediately came out from the back and asked what I would like to order. I advised her that I had never had Eritrean food but am experienced with Ethiopian food, and she confirmed that they are very similar. I then ordered the platter of 6 vegetarian of my choice ($15-$20 -- I am not sure because there also was an option to just choose 4 and I forgot to take a picture of the menu). I told the woman that I would love to have the cook decide what to serve me, and she said ok.
I then sat down and waited. The wait was a little longer than I had expected, but I think that is because the cook (who might have been the same woman who took my order) was making everything fresh. When the food came out, I already knew that I was going to have leftovers. The food is served on a platter topped with injera and then with the selected dishes poured atop the injera, just like Ethiopian food. For the most part, I didn't know what I was eating exactly (I knew one dish was collared greens, another a cabbage dish, and a third was a beautiful, vibrant, fresh salad of lettuce, tomatoes, and onions in a light delicious dressing), but everything was outstanding. I later learned that the other three dishes were a red lentil dish, a yellow bean dish, and an orange traditional Eritrean chickpea dish. All three were delicious, but the chickpea dish blew me away.
When I finished eating, I asked for a carryout container and also a takeout order of the Derek Tibsi because I wanted to try a meat dish. The woman asked if I wanted it spicy, and I said I did. When I got home, I tried the Derek Tibsi, which was still steaming, and it was fantastic-- cubes of beef with what looked like okra in a sauce that had some heat (next time I will ask for extra spicy) with a side of the fresh salad and collard greens. Total includes 20% tip was between $40 and $45.
Vegetarian options: A very large selection of vegetarian dishes.
Parking: There was a parking lot at the back, but it looks to only be accessible through an alley that runs behind the restaurant.

I was in town for the Memorial Day weekend and tried Eden's Kitchen. I was blown away with the fresh teff injera, lamb spris was tender & juicy, kicha fitfit and veggie combo. I've been in NYC/DC/LA/Bay Area/Atlanta, in my humble experience Eden's injera is the best in the country. I ordered injera to go for my trip back to NYC. Looking forward to stop by on the next trip.

We enjoyed the lamb with 6 vegetables platter with injera. Everything was delicious and authentic. The owner/cook/server was as gracious as can be. Note that the parking is a little hard to find. We thought google maps had made a mistake but it correctly directed us around back through an alley to the right spot.

Eden's Kitchen felt like a childhood invite to a friend's house for dinner. The food was fresh, well balanced, simple, yet delicious. This cozy restaurant has a great outdoor space and homey vibes. We ordered the beef with collard greens and lamb spris with injera. The lamb cooked with fresh tomatoes and both came with a mini side salad. Injera was authentic in texture but I personally would've preferred a little more tang to the flavor.Next time we'll probably order a veggie sampler with our meat dishes. We came at 4:30pm on Friday with no reservation. Parking can be done on the street around the corner.

Amazing food! This was our first time trying Eratrean food and we wish we lived closer so it could be a go to restaurant. We are a vegetarian/carnivore family and the options were great for both. The delightful human at the counter explained what the dishes were and was very friendly.
