The food came out so quickly and was absolutely delicious. Our server couldn't have been better.
The ambience and food were fine for our large group, but the ridiculously excessive 20% service charge, which we were informed was "not the tip," will keep us away on our next visit to DC.
Great. In the Mayflower Hotel in DC

Generally when I say I’m in a rush, service is prompt, two mornings here and apparently a rush means you’ll get your eggs in 30-40 minutes. Pretty good atmosphere though.

Ffocaccia is stale. White bean soup is a bd minestrone with a few beans. Awful. Is this the best the Mayflower can do?

Horrible food. Hash browns worse than McDonalds. Eggs were cold. Coffee cup was dirty. Would not recommend.

Breakfast and dinners were good, expecially the Bannana Bread. Also the Oat Meal was excellent. Burger was very good but the Chicken Sandwich was somewhat dry.
Just spent almost a week at The Mayflower Hotel and had many of our meals here at the Edgar. We had a late breakfast every morning and late dinners several times during our stay. The place was clean and inviting with a very comfortable atmosphere. Staff was attentive and food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. No complaints about the food as we enjoyed all our meals. Breakfast was always very good and served piping hot. A real standout of our meals was the wonderful hostess named Addis. She always made us feel welcome and that she was genuinely happy to see us. On our last day when we checked out we stopped in to get an order to take with us and eat at the airport. Addis was so nice and helpful making sure our order was correct and packaged for the trip. As a bonus she gave us a small loaf of their crazy good banana bread along with the recipe for when we got home. Thank you Addis for being so kind.

My friends and I went for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was very quiet, not many patrons at all. Due to that, our server kind of hoovered. We understood that he didn't really have anyone else to wait on, and that was the reason why.
Just enjoyed a few drinks at this location. Staff was very attentive.

Great Birthday dinner celebration here on Sunday thanks to Meron! She went out of her way to make it a special experience for us!
I also love that her name “ MERON” means gift from God and holy oil. For dessert, I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and caramelized banana!
Absolutely delicious!

The menu was pretty terrible . The drink list was terrible. The server and bar tender was great. This place would be wonderful with a menu revamp
If you're staying at the hotel it is an option. I found the staff rude and the food marginal at best. There are many other better options nearby.

The food and service were fine. The noise level was higher than we expected. It was a bit louder than it should have been to hold a good conversation.
