Definitely a good place to go to if you pass in the neighborhood and are looking for affordable Mexican food. The service is good and the food is worth the money. I just wish they would add more rice in the initial servings. However, the meat was great and cooked exactly as I asked.

Once a week I buy tacos. I recommend that you add the picó de gallo and its spicy sauce and lemon to the tacos since it is a delight ?

Tequila and Mezcal selection their speciality. Brunch is rather good. Patio is nice but inside is nicer.

Such a great place! We arrived for lunch a bit early. It was very hot, but the staff allowed us in and waited on us. Best guacamole ever! Most friendly staff! Delicious tacos! Thank you, all.

Great neighborhood family Tex Mex! Delicious food, friendly laid-back service, great price, big portions.

I've been ordering the carne asada here once every few months, for probably four years. It's perfect, every time. It is the steak that I compare all other restaurants' steaks to (no one comes close). It's also incredibly cheap for the quality and portion size. The fajitas are also really excellent, and the margaritas are a perfect Tex Mex margarita.

This place does what you expect, and they do it **extremely well**. There is no "gastronomy" or "elevated cuisine" here. It's authentic. It's not snooty. It's priced surprisingly affordably. They don't rush you like a lot of places do. Ambience is nice, and music isn't too loud.

El Camino is a fantastic neighborhood gem, boasting some of the finest steak tacos I've ever tasted in the District. But it's not just the tacos that shine here; their chicken mole is a standout, offering a generous portion bursting with the rich, complex flavors of mole sauce. The inviting "L" shaped bar is always bustling with a few locals, giving it a friendly and approachable vibe. The bartenders are attentive and skilled, ensuring that patrons are well taken care of, and the drinks are not only delicious but also reasonably priced.Additionally, I couldn't help but notice their camino steak dish, which had my mouth watering just looking at it. I can't wait to try it on my next visit! I highly recommend this establishment and look forward to making it a regular hangout.

My girlfriend and I had dinner here earlier this evening as we were looking for a place within walking distance of our Airbnb. We had a great time. We ordered 2 rounds of margaritas ($4 during happy hour) , guacamole, queso fundido w chorizo, 6 tacos, and the tres leches. As you can tell, we sampled a strong portion of the menu, and it was very amicably priced. The guacamole was fresh and delicious. The queso fundido was great and a good portion. The tacos were the best I’ve ever had, and I feel we have pretty good tacos coming from South Florida. My favorite was between the chorizo and the shrimp taco. The tres leches was a great treat to end the meal. As for the staff, they were fantastic. Super attentive and kind. I also want to highlight the manager Marvin who wears a big welcoming smile. I’ll have to visit again next time I’m in DC.

We love this neighborhood gem. Excellent food (best nachos in DC, yummy tacos, and delicious plantains), great drinks, wonderful staff. I'm only removing one star because they often run out of michelada mix, which is my favorite. But otherwise highly recommend.

El Camino is the best Mexican restaurant in DC and it’s one of the best restaurants in all of DC as well. My partner and I go to El Camino almost every week and we always bring friends and family, local and visiting, every chance we get. The staff are like family and are so kind, and I am thankful that El Camino are our neighbors. I cannot recommend El Camino enough. It is just soooooo delicious. I cannot emphasize how wonderful El Camino is ENOUGH.
