hi :)I’ve been coming here for over 3 years. Honestly. Mid place, but at least it sticks to Spanish music (quinceañera Spanish music lol)But that’s not the pointCame here on a Friday night that was POURING rain <3 everyone was walking out because the music (which we could hear) was eh. there was no line. We arrived at 1 (which is fair considering no one goes out until 12-1) and the bouncer quickly said we can’t go in bc of the pants our Asian friend was wearing :)We’ve been here multiple times, with me, a Latina, wearing the same EXACT pants with no issue, and the bouncer insists there’s a strict dress code (which is not true bc I’ve showed up here in a hoodie and shorts lol) and so he says we can’t come in.We explained. He said no. And we respected it and called our Ubers home. I did inform the man at the door that if they were going to deny us entry, to be upfront about why. If he thought it was too late, or we were too many (4 of us. Two guys two girls) whatever the reason may be. To be upfront about the reason and not say it was my friend’s pants, because again, they’re myyyy pants which I wore the week before on the same day.Just really disappointed that a place we felt was a safe space would deny entry for something so clearly unfair to us. We’re all of age, they didn’t even begin to check our IDs (so that’s not the issue.) But to think that 1. A man cannot wear the same pants a woman wore the week prior and that 2. You’d make up an excuse that you have a strict dress code when you (FROM EXPERIENCE) don’t is just offensive and dishonest and I would just hope that you’d enforce a system with more integrity :)Such a disappointment.

Rodents Running in this place. I highly suspected their food storage since the Diablo shrimp I got was so chewy and felt stale. They replaced it immediately. There was a dustbin out in the open on the first floor. This place is just so dirty and not worth the money at all. I got sick with abdominal pain after eating here and had to even report it to authorities and I’m glad that their report cited all the violations and hope these people correct it, and not play with health of customers. A very very very bad and horrible experience and place. Just avoid at all costs.

Warning: Free entry, but mandatory coat fees. Drinks? Small and pricey. Coat up and wallet ready!

They seated us for our reservation right away (large party of 8) and had friendly service. The food was delicious, especially the salmon main. They came around with birthday churros at the end of the meal, candle and all. Will return!

At this place, you end up paying $50 for two Long Island plus they make you leave your coat in front so you can spend more money there I guess. Just don't go to this place

i went here on valentines day (yes, it was a mistake), but the restaurant itself was really good! the service was great even though they were really busy and i liked my food a lot. definitely a little more on the pricey side, but i really can't be surprised, it's georgetown.

My food was very good, but our service was terrible. He had an attitude with me and my friends any time we asked about anything, got my friend's drink wrong, we had to ask for our chips and salsa after 30 minutes of being there, and never got any refills on our waters but watched every table around us get multiple during our time being there.

I am a big fan of El Centro. I think the combination of a great ambience, atmosphere, and intentionality in the design of the interior give the restaurant a home-like feel to it. The food is typically very well done we ordered the queso fundido and I got the shrimp fajitas and both met the mark. The margarita I had was good but wasn't in the category of best I ever had. But still what you're looking for when going to a place like this.

What on earth? I feel like we walked into a community dinner for parents visiting their college students. Literally every table surrounding us on a Saturday night was either drunk kids chugging beers or parents asking their kids what their next course was or complaining about the restaurant's service. Drinks here are 2/5 good. We had the spicy mango margarita and strawberry basil margarita. The spiciness of the mango margarita was unpleasant. It's not how a spicy margarita should be served. Also, the spice ended up burning our lips even after our dinner. We love spice but not when it ruins your food and taste buds. The strawberry basil was just...dull--they could've at least tried and put muddled basil inside (AT LEAST). Drinks weren't worth the money. Food was "ehh." We both ordered tacos which they were out of flour tortillas and only had corn tortillas but when they were served they didn't provide taco holders nor did they provide a second layer of corn tortillas soooo you're basically eating a salad because they FALL APART. Terrible plating. It's a college bar for sure and I shouldn't have expected much. Wouldn't come here again.

I've been going to El Centro for many years and it definitely has a cheerful and laidback vibe that is rare in Georgetown! Thanks so much for accomodating my 20+ guests for my 35th birthday. Special thanks to our wonderful server who made everything so smooth.

The coat check fee is exorbitant and feels like a rip-off.

I took my son there for his 17th birthday yesterday. Overall, we had a nice time, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delivered at a friendly pace, so I didn't feel like the staff wanted to flip the table quickly as many restaurants do to maximize how many dishes they serve a day (which just makes me want to scream and I usually do not return to those establishments). Instead, we were allowed to chat socialize and finish our appetizers and our meals came a few minutes after. The food was delicious and great portions. Their warm chips and salsa alone make the trip worth it, and they will refill upon request. However, I would have like the food to be more authentic to Mexico rather than TexMex. The environment was trendy and laid back. A great place for friends to gather, catch-up and have a couple of drinks. **One thing I will note is that the Silver Margarita is made with real lime juice which makes all the difference in the world (it didn't taste like medicine).**
